Sorry man, I wasn't wearing my tinfoil hat like you are - The government and scientists who say it was a methane leak got to me.

Have you seen the pictures? The whole floor shot up and then fell down. Unless the bombers laid something in the cement and waited until now - Yes, I think it was something like methane gas.

I was at a resort in the same area two months ago. The resort that blew up is built on old swamp areas - We stopped there to get some guests on one of our tours - So it makes some sense.

Please provide some non-tinfoil-hat links (aka real) to something showing it was anything but an accident.

The Post is just quoting Mexican officials, the same ones who initially said it was a build up of swamp gas. Tinfoil hat? I figured the official release of "swamp gas" immediately following the event was enough for skepticism.

I guess I have a different perspective on Mexico than some. My brother was working as a Teacher in Monterrey the year the swine flu and for weeks before Mexico released any medical data they had large white tents setup in soccer fields testing people. Then magically once the vacation period ends they then release the information. For a country whose only economy is Tourism, drugs, and 3rd world manufacturing I wouldnt put it past them to lie about the events of one of their most important economic engines.

He worked at a school where the weekly paycheque was an envelope full of cash with no reciept (18 months later still no reciept or income tax form of any kind) so you can see how I might be skeptical about a 3rd world country explanation of what happened.

I would go to Mexico, I just consider it on the same security level as say Columbia. If you are going to leave the comforts of North America dont expect Mexico to be any safer than anywhere else just because it happens to border the US.

I gotta give big ups to Huatulco. We went and stayed at the Dreams Resort in Huatulco and were pretty impressed. I'd never been to an all-inclusive before so I have nothing to compare it against, but I would go back. The towns close by were small and not overly touristy but still safe feeling. I think it is the same chain/owners as the Secrets resorts since they look almost identical. Same restaurant/bar names. It seemed really family friendly too.

It all makes sense now. That explains why they had a glass enclosure with a bunch of tots crafting away, making wallets and beaded necklaces. I swear, the saddest scene ever was New Years Eve, walking past the kiddy enclosure. A bunch of kids sitting trapped with their heads in their hands, trying to stay up. All the while wondering when Mommy and Daddy were going to be finished their icy drinks so they escape their little gulag.

Secrets was the best October of my life. I didn't see a person under 18 for weeks. Quiet and blissful. I think I'll have my ability to procreate removed, as life without children around = bliss.
