I ended up watching two episodes of this trash yesterday...and I'm hooked. I feel so dumb, but it is entertaining for sure. Why I would be interested in watching these morons I have no idea. There don't seem to be a lot of redeeming qualities about them in general, but I suppose the sheer mindless entertainment is great!

I felt so bad for the "hippopotamous" last episode. Man, what happens when she watches that episode? And then she agreed to have her face shown? Yikes.

Ridiculous. Every scene was about their crap.

they fight, they make up, they fight, they make up. The show would be so much better if Sammi would just leave. At least Ron tries once in awhile to have fun. Sammi is all about her drama. Even when she's out with the girls, it's all about her.

Need more Situation and Pauly D.
Dude, are you seriously complaining about an episode of Jersey Shore? It's one thing if a few guys watch it because it's a trainwreck, but coming on here and getting frustrated with how the storyline's going?

Yes I was. I watch it because of the trainwreck aspect to it. I like watching these idiots get into messed up situations. But the Ronnie-Sammi story is something you can see on any other MTV show. Jersey Shore never used to be all about this sad romance. It's about the guys bringing home skanks, it's about the girls getting into catfights. I like that garbage. I don't need the garbage they had been giving us the last few episodes. Last week was a little bit better but only because of the hippo incident.

Am I the only one noticing the irony of someone who likes Michael Bay movies complaining about the storyline of some trashy reality show?

VFF's TV and movie watching habits are just baffling in general. It's like everything that's good he hates, and everything that sucks he loves.

Weird because I like shows like Mad Men, Breaking Bad and Dexter. All were nominated for Best Drama last night. My 2 favorite movies this year were Inception and Toy Story 3, two of the best reviewed movies of the year. But yeah, I only enjoy crap. Good call.

Go to the recommend movie thread, I've had plenty of negative reviews for the "bad" movies. This summer has been absolutely brutal. Worst in recent memory.

I like Jersey Shore(for like the 10th time in this thread) because it's a trainwreck. It's stupid, it's all that's wrong with today's youth, but Christ, I can't stop watching. Never have I said that I thought it was a good show.

My comments about the plot were mostly to see what other people like me thought of what had been going on the last few episodes because the show took a turn for the worse the last few weeks. But of course, people take it the wrong way and just seem to want to feed the reputation that I don't know why I got, but whatever.

You guys are all wrong!
Any TV show or movie that is fiction is a complete waste of time and I am baffled that anyone watches them. So baffled I'm going to come into threads and express my disbelief towards those members in an effort to make myself feel all high and mighty.

I can't wait for the girl fights to start this week!

have to wonder if the powers that be in other countries watch shows like this and think that in 20 years or so they be able to take back america for free by offering up a load of hair care products, unlimited tanning and some gold chains.......

i'd love to see somebody randomly punch "the situation" in the head..........

The hippo strategy was priceless.

Fantastic episode last night. Had everythin you could want from the trashiest show on TV. Situation kicking the girl out was maybe the best part of the season. Hot to mention making her wait for him while he was eating a big late night meal.

Loved the Sammi and JWoww fight.

I was thinking about this and rubecube's post about me complaining about Jersey Shore the other day. How is what I'm doing any different than the pages of people dissecting Big Brother?? It's a trashy realuty show. When Big Brother gets trashy, that's when people are into it the most. I'm not debating what's a better show, that's not what this is about. If me dissecting Jersey Shore is ridiculous in your mind, then wny not go in the Big Brother thread and rail on the people in there??

I don't disagree with people complaining about how this season has gone. Sammi is pretty much an anchor on this show and every second she's on the screen is unbearable. Ron could probably have his own show if it wasn't for her because he's hilarious when he's in "Do you" mode.

The Situation kicking out that girl was hilarious. I seriously burst into laughter when he said "and that's how you get them out!" and did that gesture. And yeah ... having her sit in the room while he cooked and ate a meal was hilarious.

It would suck to live with JWOW and Sammi in real life. One is a hypocritical B****, and the other is completely useless

Not that it wouldn't suck to live with the rest of them, but those two are especially dumb

Ratings for Thursday night were massive. The absolute numbers don't mean anything to most people, but basically it's on par with shows like CSI: NY, Bones, 24 (RIP). It'd be a middle of the pack show among primetime dramas on CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox. These ratings are incredible for a reality show on cable, a dream for MTV. Point is, this show will be on the air as long as the people want to do it.
