Actually blowing the slide isn't a HUGE delay to the aircraft, at JFK JetBlue keeps a bunch of spares that simply need to be reinstalled in the aircraft. The used one is taken off, inspected for any damage, fixed, deflated and repacked to be installed again at some point.
Of course I've heard that process costs anywhere from about $10,000-$20,000. Plus the downtime costs for the a/c also, so definitely not a cheap thing to have happen.
