The Extra Time Matches

Bradford C. 1 - 2 Preston North End (ET)
Crewe Alexandra 0 - 1 Ipswich T. (ET)
Milton Keynes Dons 4 - 3 Blackpool (ET)
Wolverhampton W. 2 - 1 Southend U. (ET)
Portsmouth 1 - 1 Crystal Palace (ET) Portsmouth wins 4-3 on penalties.
Reading 3 - 3 Northampton T. (ET) Northampton win 4-2 on penalties.

Northampton went behind in extra time then scores in the dying seconds to tie it up than won the shootout!

Too bad for Crystal Palace who survived the entire 30 minute extra time with 10 men but lost in the shootout.

Blackpool is the first EPL team eliminated.

To be fair, when you wrote that (7:52pm), most of the games had fewer than 5 minutes on the clock...

An evening newspaper has come up with an ingenious way to beat a League One football club's ban on photographers.

Striker Vincent Pericard volleys home the opener: Photo courtesy Swindon Advertiser

Instead of real-life pictures of their team thumping Southampton, readers of the Swindon Advertiser were treated to Subbuteo recreations.

Hilarious!! Even better than the crudely drawn cartoons!

not with West Ham on Saturday and CL next week, he always said they would rotate the squad for the carling cup

its basically half the b team and half the c team

Harry probly expected Wenger to play his backups as well but he has started 6 or 7 first teamers

now Lennon comes on though, but he didn't play more than 5 minutes saturday so he would still be well rested for the next 2 games

ya brutal by Fabianski, they just showed a reply that looked offside by the lines on the field, oh well though should make for an interesting second half
