Oh Nos.

SWINDON Town’s winless run in League One extended to 10 matches after a 1-0 home defeat to Carlisle United this afternoon.

That's quite a slump!

At least you're out of the relegation zone now that Plymouth is bankrupt.

TOWN were beaten 4-1 at St Mary's by a slick and well-drilled Southampton outfit this afternoon.

Sorry Swindon - all the troutman karma is being diverted to the Flames right now.

SWINDON Town could not break Walsall's rearguard down as they drew 0-0 with the Saddlers in a crucial League One relegation battle at the County Ground this afternoon.

SWINDON Town have been accused of not being prepared to fight at times this season, but few can argue with the commitment and desire shown by the players in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Dagenham & Redbridge.

A HEART-BREAKING defeat for Town as a pleasing away performance goes unrewarded with Brighton claiming a 2-1 victory courtesy of a second-half Glenn Murray strike.

SWINDON won for the first time since early January with first goal for the club by Calvin Andrew stealing the precious three points at Brentford.

SWINDON Town chairman Andrew Fitton has quit the club following the club's relegation to League Two, the Swindon Advertiser understands.

PAUL Hart’s long-term future as Swindon manager became no clearer after defeat to Sheffield Wednesday sealed relegation to League Two, but he believes appointing him on a permanent basis would be the ‘right choice’.

Town are also on course to finish bottom of the table, behind a team that were deducted 10 points, and it is a sorry outcome for a side that less than 12 months ago were just one game away from being promoted to the Championship.

Hart's been sacked, with Paul Bodin as caretaker for the last two games before relegation to League Two.

TOWN is 16th after three games in League 2. Looks like promotion is a fantasy.

PAOLO Di Canio believes Swindon could well be in a defining week of their season after a 2-0 win over Gillingham tonight propelled the Robins into the League Two play-off places.

The victory means Town leapfrog Gillingham into seventh and they are now just two points off third place, with Bradford the visitors on Saturday.

Phil Smith was Swindon’s hero as the Robins keeper saved three of AFC Wimbledon’s penalties to send Town through to the area semi-finals of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Swindon's twelve-year-old midfielder Jordan Young has rejected the chance to join Chelsea, the League Two club have confirmed.

Young, one of Swindon's most promising players, has been the focus of attention of several bigger clubs but it was the Blues who made the first overtures.

However, he has opted to remain with the Robins and continue his development, to the delight of the Wiltshire outfit.

PAOLO Di Canio described Swindon’s 4-1 victory over Huddersfield as the biggest result of his managerial career, but urged his players not to lose focus as they return to League Two action this weekend.

The Robins produced an FA Cup shock on Saturday by recovering from going a goal behind to seal an emphatic win over the Terriers courtesy of goals from Aden Flint, Raffaele De Vita, Mehdi Kerrouche and Simon Ferry.

SWINDON TOWN: We are the best - Di Canio

http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk...st___Di_Canio/

PAOLO Di Canio believes Swindon can now count themselves as one of the best teams in League Two following their emphatic 4-1 win over promotion rivals Southend last night.

Prior to the game, Shrimpers boss Paul Sturrock had played down the importance of the fixture by insisting Swindon are not the best team in League Two.

But Di Canio begs to differ, telling the Advertiser: “We want to prove we can play football on the ground in this division and be promoted.

“Maybe he (Paul Sturrock) saw that we started the season badly with the run of defeats and that football this way would be difficult, but since that day we have proven that we are the best side in my opinion.
