Damn I'm jealous of you guys, my brother did however manage to get an AR-15 into Iceland many years ago until he lost it shooting some ducks lol.

If there's a handgun that gets me excited its a Glock and really for me nothing has been more fun to shoot than an AR-15, hopefully get to play with a 50 cal sniper rifle one of these days.

The AR-15 is fun to shoot but again not as fun as a AK-74. The AK-74's are fun. They have less recoil than a AR-15 and alot cheaper on the pocket as 5.45x39 ammo is dirt cheap.

So recommendation on a first pistol?

Was at the gun store today and I've decided on the 9mm (you can't even get a Five seveN in Calgary because they won't sell the bullets) and it is cheap.

CZ 75B?
Sig 226?

Honestly the gun that felt the best for me was the Beretta 92F - not shooting, just overall comfort, but the guys at the shop were pretty Anti-Beretta, saying it will break within a few months of heavy use.

Beretta has a bad rep. Go with the Sig or a Glock. Both are fantastic pistols.

Here is mine.

I own a CZ 75B in 40 Cal. Definately a great gun for the price point easy to clean and parts do not cost a fortune. Check out Pro Line they have tons of new and used handguns decent prices too.
