My face is a bum!

Dude, you are SOOOOO lucky.
My friend was in a similar situation and crashed. He's still paying ICBC a few grand every year to pay off the settlement which he was personally liable for because he had a gap of a few days on his insurance.

Yes to the first part.
To the second, it's called being lazy. I don't like cars, I don't want to know how they work, I don't want to make them perform better, I want to use the least limbs as possible to operate them.
I take the subway every day.

It's a dying art. With all vehicles being automatic these days, and kids are learning how to drive with them they don't feel the need to drive a standard if they dont have to.
I learned because i wanted to.

If he learned a lesson, this thread wouldn't be here.

She didn't follow you without reason. She saw that you were struggling with the car and stalling it, thus indicating that it may not have been your car and so potentially stolen. She runs the plates and they come out wrong, another flag for a possible stolen car. You're lucky you didn't get escorted out the car with your hands up.

I dont see the point of having an standard vehicle
There is nothing better then having one hand on the wheel and simultaneously:
-Eating a cheeseburger
-Reading a magazine
-Watching a dvd
-spanking one off
All while steadily accelerating through the city.

The most important question has still not been asked: was she hot?

In my case I had the pink slip from my previous vehicle and the signed registration for the new one, the cop was a complete idiot and goof as it was a saturday when he pulled me over for an illegal lane change, I said to him "I bought the car last night,my insurance isn't open till monday" He says: So I'm suppost to believe you bought a $40k car at night?,are you a drug dealer and pay cash as well? At that point I just said give me the f'kn ticket and I'll see you in court!
Just a complete jerkoff, The prosecutor threw the ticket out immediately.(I did have to pay the $110.00 for the BS lane change ticket though)

I'm pretty sure that it means that the term "automobile" in that pamphlet includes a new car so long as:
- You aren't in the business of selling cars;
- You notify the insurance company within 14 days of delivery;
- You have no other insurance for the new car; and
- The new car replaces the car for which the insurance was originally obtained, or
- You have coverage with the insurance company for all vehicles you own and you've paid all your premiums.

He learned one lesson, at least. He hasn't learned the more important lesson, however.
The one he learned: Despite what his friend says, insurance does not automagically transfer over. Now that he's confirmed it here, I'm betting he choses surrender over fight, and sends that cop a $25 Tim Horton's gift card for saving him over $2800.
The one he hasn't learned: Legal questions are best answered by legal experts. His friend nearly led him to disaster, but he still goes to an internet forum for more advice.
Asking us is cool, but we're really no better than your friend, dude. Call your insurance company and ask them what you would have to do to transfer your insurance if you sold your current car and bought a new one. That will confirm both what you need to do to get the new car insured, and verify that you were in the wrong.
