Stephen A Smith reporting both LeBron James and Chris Bosh heading to Miami Heat.

(by reporting I mean tweeting)

Colangelo on toronto radio said today he doesn't think Bosh will be returning. Hopefully they can get a good sign and trade with him.

I won't boo the guy when he comes back but he's not someone I'm going to be rooting for to do well.

I see LeBron James wanting a change of scenery. He gets to start over with a new coach and a new city with an All-star guard. Chicago has a similar team to Cleveland in terms of personel off the bench (Noah = Varajao) and Rose gives him a great guard to relieve some of the pressure on him. Also, I find it rather convenient that he announced changing his number from 23 to 6 on March 1st. Maybe it's a conspiracy thing but to me that just opened the door for Chicago to pick him up in the off season.

With regards to Bosh, the writing on the wall was when Toronto drafted a left-handed PF. If they really believed him staying, why would you draft the same exact player he is. It's always going to end the same in Toronto. They're going to draft a franchise player, do well enough to keep him around for 5-7 years by getting close or barely in to play-offs, then the player is going to get frustrated and either demand to be traded or leave via free agency. Colangelo needs to be let go. He's made some huge mistakes since being hired.

I don't know which one you think is better from that. If you think Varejao is better, pure stats would disagree. Noah was a better player this past year. More rebounds, more points, more assists, higher FT percentage, with only 2 more Minutes/Game than Varejao. Add on to that he's 2 years younger and I think I was being pretty generous to Varejao by saying they were equal.

If you were saying that Noah > Varejao, than my whole statement is completely useless

I'd take Noah a 100x over Varajo, not to mention he plays with a lot more heart.

I think S.A.S was just reporting they had a meeting in Miami.

No way I see Lebron and Wade share the spotlight on 1 team IMO.

I still think CLE is the best bet.

Looks like LA is back in the picture for Bosh, as I've seen a lot of rumours today (well, probably the same rumour over and over) that Colangelo is working on a deal that would be essentially Bynum + Odom for Bosh + Jack. I think this is would be an absolute home-run of a return, but of course it depends on Bosh wanting to go to LA. And I think LA would be the best fit out there, if Bosh wants a chance to emerge from the shadows of Wade and James. Plus he gets to bring along his BFF Jack.
I have a suspicion that Ebanks would also be involved in such a trade... he's somebody the Raptors were rumoured to be trying to pick up a second draft pick to acquire, and it would make sense if LA phoned up Colangelo before picking Ebanks to ask what draft pick Toronto would want as part of a Bosh sign-and-trade return.

This whole thing is making me sick. All the rumours and talks about meetings between all these players. I've never been a Lakers fan but I swear if the big 3 all end up on the same team, I'm cheering for every other team in the league. Bosh is easily the sloppy seconds of anything that happens, because he needs a #1 by him to have any success

I'd be fine with that as a return, though I'm not sold on Bynum like every basketball fan seems to be. His injuries are a concern, but he's still young and has time to work things out. My concern with the guy is the same thing with Bargnani - his head. The guy simply seems lost out there sometimes and that's something you can't teach a player to get better at (same reason I'd stay away from doing a S&T with Miami for Beasley, though he comes with a whole set of other concerns). Odom still has game and has shown he's willing to take a back seat if necessary, so I'd have no problem with him on the team (though I'd also have very limited expectations for him). It all depends where Bosh wants to go though, so until he decides that, everyone else will have to wait around. Lets say he goes to LA for the above package, I'd like to see Weems, Calderon and Turkoglu packaged to Washington for Miller and Arenas. The team wouldn't look all that bad having a lineup like this:

PG: Arenas/Belinelli
SG: DeRozan/Miller
SF: Bargnani/Odom/Ebanks
PF: Davis/Johnson
C: Bynum/Alabi

Really one of those teams who could squeek into the playoffs based on having a young aggressive team run by Arenas at the point (but would unfortunately heavily rely on the guy as not messing around). It would be a nightmare if Bosh went to Chicago or Miami though. Slim pickings for a S&T. New York wouldn't be bad though.

I really wish Bosh, LeBron and Wade would get together and go to the Clippers and dominate... make the Clippers the SHOW in LA, and tell the rapist and the rest of his Lakers to suck it.

That would be awesome lol. (But I know it would NEVER happen)

Forget this LeBron gong show. The real news I'm waiting for is Dirk to Phx!

Let the Adam Morrison sweepstakes begin!! He's got more rings then LBJ, Wade and Bosh put together. I'll probably be made fun of, but as a life long Zags fan I'm hoping Adam gets a chance somewhere. He actually had a future ahead of him before his injury and all his Laker team mates raved about him and his attitude.

Keep Morrison far from the team. You don't develop sitting on the bench. He's warmed enough benches over the past few years to the point where there is no potential anymore. See: Darko. Apparently the Raps were VERY interested in him on draft night when they took Bargnani, but he's not worth the effort developing at this stage.

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Dirk Nowitzki, Amare Stoudemire, Carlos Boozer...

When was the last time there was a UFA crop like this?

Wow. Now that's unbelieveable. Minnesota's GM should be let go immediately. How does ownership approve of something like this?

You know since the Raptors don't have a chance in signing BOSH, I would settle for anyone. I like Beasley as well and I definitely don't mind Bynum.

In the first quasi-major free agent signing, Rudy Gay re-signs with Memphis, for a max contract of more than $80 million over 5 years.

A lot of GM's are hating memphis right now, if Rudy Gay sets precedent for who max deals should be handed out too.
