I just checked to see what was on Much today, and it's 3 hours of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then another 3 hours of some other teenage shows, then finally some music. But of course, it's the Countdown show, so that means a bunch of artists that I've never heard of.

Why watch music videos on TV when you can watch any video on YouTube or buy it yourself on iTunes.

These companies have to move towards alternative programming in order to stay relevant and economically viable nowadays. You'll see more reality TV then music videos moving forward, that's pretty much a given.

I only have BST2 and the first BS90s.

Hrm. Someone earlier in this thread made the observation that BST2 is full of one-hit-wonders. And it would appear so. There is only 3 artists on BST2 that I have more than one song by (Matchbox Twenty, Collective Soul and STP). And similar with BS90s (add Matthew Good Band, Cranberries, Everclear). But that's not all bad... the point of picking up a collection is to listen to bands in a similar vein to what you like and discover new songs. I hadn't heard anyone on the "Pump Up The Volume" soundtrack and by fluke found an album with some great artists on it... and I only bought it for Concrete Blonde's cover of "Everybody Knows".
