People could also PM the guy after them once they've made their pick to let them know they are up. It seems to have worked in drafts of the past.

Okay the first 4 picks are pretty much what I think we'll see on Thursday.
In the CP mock NFL draft that Kansas City Chiefs select
Safety Eric Berry from the University of Tennessee
In reality they'll pick Brian Bulaga, but me, I'll go against conventional wisdom and take the safety to get my defence a guy who can be an elite play maker rather than go for the overly safe pick.

I think Eric Berry is the smart choice there also, but by all accounts Pioli won't pick a safety that high. I think they'll end up with Bulaga also.
I like the Berry choice though!

Yeah, if Pioli won't take Berry there, than I hope he finds a way to move down.
I actually don't think the Chiefs offensive line is as bad as many in the media make it out to be. They did allow a lot of sacks last year, but 2/3rds of them were in the first 8 games. But early on they had injuries and were really out of sync. But I think firing the offensive co-ordinator before week 1, and a useless Larry Johnson had a lot to do with that. Once Cassel and the rest of the offence was more in sync with Todd Haley's offence and they had a productive running game things improved a lot. Not to mention all the sacks didn't come from pass rushers beating up on Brandon Albert....Mike Goff at right guard was a disaster. I don't think you need to plug a tackle in right away, I think you do need to add better defensive players right now, and you can get a tackle later and develop him for a year or two.

The Cleveland Browns would like to thank Sylvanfan for putting this draft together, and all the great fans of the Calgary Flames for letting us conduct it on their territory!
With the 7th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Browns are proud to select, from Notre Dame, quarterback Jimmy Clausen.

I'm not sure if the Browns will take Clausen, but from some accounts, he's every bit as good as Bradford and more NFL-ready. Cleveland needs some stability at QB. The NFL is a passing league. Grab a stud like him now, and add to the defense in subsequent years as he develops.
I think the Browns will take Berry if he's there at #7, and if he's gone, they'll probably take the next best defender. But I'm the GM for them here, and Clausen is now the #2 man in Cleveland behind Lebron! Go Brownies.

Veryyyyy interesting pick. I think the Browns will in fact draft Clausen, but not at #7. I expect them to trade down to 10-15 and grab him there. He might be gone by the Bills pick, but I think they will take that chance seeing how they have Delhomme for a year.

I've seen a number of drafts that have the Browns taking Clausen, but just as many not. I'm glad you took him because he is really a wildcard in the Niners discussions.
An interesting Peter King tweet this morning said that the best any reporter's mock draft did last year (and I'm assuming only major media people considered) was 9 correct.

Once they get to pick 5 in the real NFL draft, that is where things could get pretty interesting. Although I have read some rumblings about Shanahan really liking Trent Williams better than Okung. Of course with Washington not having a 2nd or 3rd round pick they might be willing to move down for less than draft board value to get more picks. Question is who has the picks and desire to move up to that spot?
Something will happen in those first few picks that will throw off the rest of the draft. Fart if the Rams pass on Bradford it would really throw the whole thing out of whack.

Should we wait for the Canuck fan to show up or should we just go pick Bruce Campbell for him? An offensive tackle who runs a 4.8 40 or whatever it was, but didn't even get a single vote for the ACC All Conference team...that has Al Davis written all over it.

with a 40 yard dash time of 4.88 seconds
a 20 yard shuttle time of 4.63 seconds
and a 34 inch vertical leap!

Ya heard that as well, lots of people think Williams is a better fit for a Zone blocking scheme which Shanahan has always used

I do have a list from papi, but we're moving along a bit better here so I'll give him some time to make his own pick. Rube, be ready to make your pick around 2:00 Calgary time.
