Homer:I found five hundred pounds of
sugar [to Bart, sly] in the forest [to Marge] that I'm going to
sell directly to the consumer! All for a low, low price of one
dollar per pound.
Marge: But the grocery store sells sugar for thirty-five cents a pound.
Lisa: And it doesn't have nails and broken glass in it.
Homer: Those are prizes! [eats a mouthful] Ooh, a blasting cap.
See you guys. Prizes.

Pretty sure it was probably like the first time this guy had eaten meat since he was a kid. He looked like he had just eaten bambi and was going to go home to kill himself.
I simply asked "what can I do to make this better?". He replied "nothing" with teary eyes and just left. I'll never forget how upset/offended he was that he accidentally took a bite of beef.

Not really on subject, but I once had a terrible experience at a Subway in Calgary. I used to keep those little stamps in a pocket in my wallet, and when I had enough of them I would ask a Subway 'artist' for a card to stick the stamps onto (I don't think those stamps still exist). Anyway, the guy at Subway yelled at me and accused me of harassing his customers for their cards. He called me a homeless bum (I was wearing my office clothes) and told me to get out of his store and when I began to explain I was not who he thought I was he cried for help and yelled that he was being robbed. I left the store and immediately contacted corporate Subway.
Some higher up guy flew out from New York or somewhere because I mentioned the word 'slander' in my complaint. This guy handled it really well and was very upset about the franchise and severely dealt with them. I was given free sub cards that lasted well over a year.

In the good old days, milk was routinely thinned with products like paint and chalk.

What the hell??
Are you serious? Costco in town here? That woulda done it for me for processed/packaged food. I can handle a lot of things, but finding a snakes head in my niblets would have done me in. Any idea what kind of snake? I assume you took it back. What response did you get?

I grew up drinking Chinese medicine made of mashed bumblebees and random animal parts. Nothing phases me.
Most of these "scary" things are delicacies in other countries.
What you really should be worried about is the stuff you can't see like chemical fertilizers left on supposedly "washed" salads in additional to high bacteria counts scientific studies have found.

I went to the pizza place close to my house half an hour or so ago. Walked in, there were two customers talking to the guy behind the counter. He was pointing at the crust. Im not sure if it wasnt cooked properly or if there was something in it. He asked if they wanted some slices to replace it, one of the customers asked if they could just get a refund. Not sure if they got it or not, I walked out.

I feel very fortunate... I've never had anything disgusting in my food except for the odd hair (not even pubes!). Maybe it's because I only have McD's a few times a year.

Speaking of pizza, I once got pepperoni slice with what appeared to be a chicken bone in it.

I guess I've been lucky, because I have never found anything super gross in my food. About the worst restaurant experience I've had was getting some very undercooked (like, raw) pizza from Dominos - twice. Pretty mild compared to some of this other stuff.
When I was a kid we were eating at the St. Mary Lodge in Montana, my mom got a big rusty bolt in her gravy. We figured it must have come off one of the pots in the kitchen. The restaurant, surprisingly, wouldn't do anything. My dad has never been one to make a scene so we ended up paying for the entire meal but never went back. The place changed ownership a year later, so maybe it's better now.
