Pardy and her companions were on the patio drinking. At 11:00 pm the patio shut down and they moved inside to continue drinking.
Earle was hosting an open mic night inside.
According to Earle, Pardy and friends began making comments and causing a distraction. They were sitting in the front row, "made out" and flipped Earle the bird. That's when he let loose with his tirade.
According to Pardy, she and her friends were minding their own business. She only had a beer and a half that night. They were not causing any commotion or distraction. Earle spotted them in the front row and started hurling insults their way.
According to both parties, Pardy threw one or two drinks (or glasses of water, depending on who is telling the story) at Earle. The altercation continued later where Earle admits he pulled off Pardy's glasses and broke them in his hand.
I'm still not sure how this should even be in from of the HRC. And all its going to be is a he said she said type of thing.
I have a funny feeling that the truth does lie in the middle. But to me the bottom line is, if you heckle a comedian your going to completely get both barrels.
The broken glasses thing is property damage, just pay for the damn things.
There's just no common sense in society. Everything everybody does has to be a statement or make a point.
I remember now why I hate people.

JB is doing stand-up?! DK was one of my favourite bands - I was curious what happened with them...
(A) This was back in 2001. My first cell phone... hadn't gotten used to remembering to put it on vibrate.
(B) He was doing a speaking tour... not exactly stand-up comedy, but his speaking tour was hilarious none-the-less. I love his spoken word albums, never got much into Dead Kennedys.

They were sitting in the front row??? Arrrghh, ok now I really hate these chicks. What were they expecting??? Who doesn't know that you get absolutely grilled when sitting in the front row at a comedy club, especially one such as this which was advertised as being extra raunchy. I wonder if the two girls combined have an IQ of 100. Either that or the combination of the front row, the making out/flipping the bird, and the human rights tribunal just screams how badly they want attention. Everyone that backs them in this needs to stay the HELL away from comedy clubs, because they are definitely not meant for you.

Well, I think I read somewhere that it was the front row. In other accounts it was a booth next to the stage.
And icecube's post was about a situation very similar to the one you described where people were discriminated against because they were native. It was a direct response to what you posted.
It wasn't a response to my post though.
What does him, allegedly, seeing an act of discrimination have anything to do with how the HRC is a joke? Furthermore, the other patrons in the bar are irrelevant. We have absolutely no idea what other circumstances came into play or if he was even telling the truth. The example I referred to did happen and was widely regarded as a total joke.
So he provided a single example of discrimination. I provided another example, on top of this current one, as to why the HRC is a total fraud and doesn't help protect people from discrimination. All it does is waste taxpayer's money.
If anything his example supported my point. I'm sure thousands of instances of discrimination occur and yet these total joke cases are the ones that get the most attention. Why would the HRC even hear them at all? They should be focusing on true discrimination.

I'm not sure why this is so complicated for you. He provided an example of a situation where someone was explicitly discriminated against for being a native, just like the person you referenced. Read it slowly, you might catch on.
He was great. He was pretty much calling my buddy a fag for wearing a pink shirt and totally emberassed him.
Hahahahahahaha so funny. Ya no kidding, front row with a pink shirt on is a brutal call. I wanted to see that show but was out of town when it happened.
