Am I the only one who didn't know that some volcanoes produced lightning?

Its calmed down but worth checking out, live webcam near the volcano. Probably more exciting right now during daylight hours.

So England declares that Iceland is a terrorist nation for not wanting to pay back their debt, and Iceland unleashes it's volcanos on them. Or was it just a ploy to help England recover a bunch of lost money by forcing foreign travellers to fork out for over priced hotel rooms for 5 nights while it was "too dangerous to fly".
I can't wait to see what the Greeks, Germans, and French come up with to make up for the upcoming Greek bailout.

Apparently this volcano is linked with a nearby volcano Katla and an eruption there could ground flights for months. At least now the authorities raised the threshold to fly and maybe some flights can divert past the plume.

Just hope the winds aloft keep the cloud away from the airport.

The irony, I was delayed by 1 day due to the closure of the airport in Iceland. Got what was coming to me
