I think you're sexually harassing Captain America.

According to IGN, Krasinski is definitely out. Chris Evans (Fantastic Four, Push) is one of the front runners along with these relative unknowns
http://movies.ign.com/articles/107/1076166p1.html
personally I like Chris Evans and wouldnt mind him as Cap

Riann Wilson could probably play a mean Red Skull with that forehead of his.
I jest.

I like Evans, he was the best part of two terrible Fantastic Four movies
I think he would be a good choice, Krasinski would have been terrible. I would have been waiting the entire movie for Captain America to look at the camera and smirk when someone did something stupid

F that noise, they need to bring back Reb Brown as Captain America.
And if you don't know who Reb Brown is, shame on you.

They're building up for the Avengers movie, and supposedly, whoever gets the role of Captain America will have to sign for a nine picture deal which would be next to impossible to get an already established major actor to do so. Sam Jackson did agree to sign a nine picture deal as Nick Fury, probably mostly cameo roles near the end like in Iron Man. Money I also expect would be an issue.

Yeah, but that was Fox's doing. Marvel Studio (which is doing all the Avengers stuff alone) has done really well at casting and making movies so far. I liked Iron Man more than the Dark Knight, who also had a very questionable choice in Heath Ledger as the Joker. So I'll give Marvel the benefit of the doubt for whoever they cast right now as I think these are my most anticipated movies and I'm not really comic guy at all.

After I've seen this guy...
turn into this guy...
...I've learned that it's best to wait and see
Oh and love the trailer for Iron Man 2. IM1 is my propably my favourite superhero movie, and that was for a very large part thanks to Robert Downey Jr. He just brings the fun in.

One of the front runners is Wilson Bethel...no idea who that is. But the article said he is in a soap opera. At first blush, I thought he wouldn't have the acting chops to pull it off. But then I remembered that Demi Moore started in soaps and Morgan Freeman started on kiddie show Electric Company.

Update!:
http://movies.ign.com/articles/107/1077984p1.html
Looks like Ryan Phillippe has screen tested for the role and says he is really wants to do it. I Like Phillippe and think he would do a fine job. It would also revamp his career that kind of became stagnant in the 90's after Cruel Intentions.

I don't mean to derail the thread but in other superhero news, Chris Nolan seems to be in line to Mentor\direct a new Superman film, for those that have interest in Superman on film I think that can only be good news
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/superm.../news/?a=15705
From that it almost sounds like they are pushing back the third Batman in favour of Superman

Personally i'd rather wait a while for Batman 3 (like talking maybe 10 years) and have it follow a kind of The Dark Knight Returns model, where he is older and is called back to action because the joker escapes. And that way they could potentially have someone else play joker without much problem because he's older anyways.

i think that 9 movie deal is Marvel setting up merging all the movies into one universe, which would likely mean putting the Civil War on the big screen (and how awesome would that be)

Chris Pine should play Cap.
I wish we could have got him for GL... but instead we have smart ass Ryan Reynolds.. something tells me Pine's people told him to pass on the roll, because it doesn't make sense to take Reynolds over Pine for the part.

except the fact that Reynolds is way more awesome in every way than Pine

Other than Star Trek I dont get the Pine love. Its not like you couldnt have slotted in another actor to play Kirk - he played it well but the movie would have been good with or without him.
+1 with Ryan Reynolds.
If it is going to be a 9 movie marathon, they likely need to find someone in their 20's.
