I know. That doesn't make it any less wrong though. Goals had nothing to do with it. Nor did Iggy.
We lost tonight because Brodeur played like a total bum.

Babcock's riding the San Jose trio too much, IMO, and it's impeding the creation of chemistry with the other lines because of it, especially when he keeps rotating players around on the Crosby line.
And why was Seabrook brought to Vancouver if he's not going to pair up with Keith?

I know that international reffing sucks, but am still always shocked by the terrible job they do, even with NHL refs thrown in there.
Would have obviously preferred to finish in the top 4 but not too worried about the team as they have looked as good or better than the other teams out there.

I can't believe I just agreeded with you (bolded).

I have been sent here by VCFA (Vancouver Canuck Fan Association) to help you prepare for Luongo being the starter from here on in.
As some of you may or may not know, when Luongo is in net cheering has to change a little. Now when you want to cheer, cheering normally is not good. You must now yell "Loooou!". "Booo", "Oooo" are also both acceptable if in a large gathering as no one will notice (We did try out Stuuuuuu and Snoooooo-snoo, but people seemed to notice).
Also, this it not made just for great, or even good saves. You are to do this on all shots directed on the Canada net. If it hits the post, side of the net, flat out misses or is even blocked. This is because Luongo obviously caused this and his miraculous ability to do this should be lauded as an amazing save.
We also suggest that you begin yelling "Whoo!" after each goal. This isn't mandatory, but it may make Looooouongo feel more at home.
Thank you for your time.

I can't think of any one thing that Iginla did to ignite that line, but the proof is in the pudding once he went to that line they were more effective.
If its anything that he does it is create space. The other team HAS to respect him out there, more so than Richards, Bergeron or Toews, they have to give him more attention because he is Jarome Iginla. That creates more space.

I'm sorry, but you can't look at plus/minus as an indicator of this game. Marty Brodeur was the indicator of this game.

Crash and Bang Winger

Hate to say it, but it's gotta be Luo the rest of the way, build him some momentum against Germany (another SO?) then roll onto Russia. Luo wouldn't have come out to play the puck those 2 times it cost us...
Still can't believe the entire team is being built around Crosby, he's been ok but not the best player, not even top 5 for Canada. Nash has outplayed Crosby imo.
Overall good game, loved when the 4 lines were rolling and crashing, our wingers were really beating them on the boards, it comes down to Miller being better.

TSN is taking the easy out. Blaming it on goaltending.
Are you serious? We have been outcoached in the last two games. Crosby/Iginla/Nash has been our best line from game 1 and consistently loses out to no-show thornton.

If you think Canada has looked better than Suomi, you're dreaming.
Canada has to play Germany, Russia, USA, Suomi in 6 days.. good luck.

GOAT!

I just want to see one reporter at the Olympics ask Mike Babcock to explain why the only time this team has dominated, has been when Crosby/Iginla/Nash has been together. Then, I want him to ask why that line keeps getting broken up.
Seriously. Just ask those two questions. That's it. Don't bend over and ask him why Miller played so well tonight. Don't get on your knees and ask about the power play.
Ask 1) why do we kick the snot out of the other team when those three are together and 2) why does he keep breaking them up.
That's it. Simple, easy questions.

Here's an angle: The Americans had no pressure and actually had fun playing the game of hockey.

Why not Fleury? He has done nothing but win in all levels.

Hindsight is great. Bouwmeester on the team would be a no brainer. Even Phaneuf would be outplaying Niedermeyer, Pronger and Seabrook. Hmm Giordano would have played better than those 3.
Boo. Not happy Iginla had that 2 minute shift right at the end of the game. He has to rest up for the Flames! hehe

This may be an easier question than I might think, but it is an interesting question nonetheless.....
Who should be more worried Canada or Russia?
