I need us to win a couple medals, including a gold, right early on. It's far too stressful for me to watch.

Yeah, I can't watch the blowout games. It's just embarassing for everyone involved.

Not that it really will affect the outcome of the game, but the whistle blew before that fifth goal was scored, AND Slovakia's player had control of the puck to earn the whistle.

why are both CTV and TSN showing a blowout hockey game when there's short track speed skating going on? i thought the point of having 3 networks covering the games was to show everything. luckily it's on NBC and the last race with Apollo Ohno was great (except for the Canadian blowing a tire twice)

Just watching the luge on one of bell's channels and an American luger just smoked the top of the run in the last corner. Speeds are still in the mid 140's but it looks like the area where the metal columns are is all boarded up with plywood.

I don't mind blowouts at all, especially if Canada is the one dishing it out.

7-0.

Anybody know what time are the freestyle finals at?

Looking at CTVs website it says 7:30, but there isn't a word on timezones.

This is why they are considering removing women's hockey from the Olympics. There are not enough countries that play the sport at an Olympic level. These kind of blowouts are common early in every tournament. That said, we were laughing the first few games of the men's world juniors...

Despite our dominance, there were a lot of mistakes by Canada in that first period. No look passes that got intercepted. Give aways in their own zone. Against better teams those mistakes will end up in the back of the net.
