The best wearing and fit for me are the Carharts from Marks Work Wearhouse. Comfy and longlasting and not overpriced. My two cents...
And no they aren't the work jeans you might think, but they could do that, they actually look pretty good.

Carhartts overalls are the sexiest thing a man can wear. Put them over a wifebeater and steel toes? Yummy.

How can you of all people be the judge of what's cool?

'Cuz I'm the definition of cool?
But really, most jeans you buy unless you go Walmart are around 60-100 bucks anyways. I could never spend over $150 for jeans. But I do admit, a nice pair of jeans look nice, and people sure do notice the old 60's jeans.
But... women with good jeans are much more essential. But when you see her kicking rocks and sevens every day, you know she's high maintenance.

I can understand paying $100 for jeans. The pairs I bought/own for $100 look good and their comfortable and are quite durable. What I don't get are the fruits who spend $350 on jeans that don't even look good. But then I don't get why you need to spend $800 on an outfit either and look like a complete monkey.

Meh, your perceptions of cool will change when you have to pay for everything yourself. A $200 pair of blue jeans sounds like a waste of money when you have to pay for mortgage/rent, insurance, utilities, energy, cable, phone, car payments/insurance, fuel, food and maybe some entertainment. Just wait until you have kids and they ask you to buy them $200 jeans (which, by that time will be more like $400 jeans).

Yeah your ideas definitely change when you pay yourself.
Also $200 jeans don't SOUND like a waste of money, they are. Don't kid yourself, at the end of the day, THEY LOOK LIKE BLUEJEANS.
I've never understood expensive jeans, jeans look like jeans...... I'll pay $40 if I HAVE to.. Then again, I usually just wear dress pants or cargo shorts.

I guess if you factor in the few hundred I lost gambling that it ups the cost a bit

Don't think this was mentioned but I got a pair of French Connection jeans at Holt Renfrew on a boxing day sale and they lasted me a good 4 years + and I just got my first rip so they are retired now.

I guarantee your $40 jeans don't look the same as $200 jeans. They may to you if you don't have an eye for these things, but to anyone who has owned designer jeans and understands the difference, it's obvious and noticeable.
You may not see the value in paying that for jeans, but don't kid yourself, your $40 jeans are not the same.

not to mention 40 dollar jeans do not use the same quality of materials either...

You guys know you can get custom tailored pants exact to your specifications for $100 right? Granted, they're not blue jeans, but when you think that someone can hand make a pair of pants specifically for you for $100, while you pay at least $100 for an off the shelf name brand, it seems kind of silly to me.

I'll put in an endorsment for Buffalo as well. I've had a number of pairs of these and never had any compliants, usually the first place I'll go to.
GF got me a pair of Lucky's, nice fitting jeans.
501s...I used like to wear these however in recent years every single pair I've owned has torn in the exact same spot, the rivets at the top of the back pockets...every f***kn pair, and some of these within a couple weeks of purchase... unreal.
If looking for cheap durable pair I like the ones from Work Warehouse.
