I'm thinking of putting my starting goalie on the bench and finding a vet - given that goaltending is so important and that my guy really does have something special in terms of his avg goaltending quality (he gains faster than anyone on my team for any skill, so even if it isn't 99, it is very high).

Good idea or bad idea?

Definitely good idea. You should look for high attribute, low AvQ goalie that you can get for under 150 000. I say low AvQ because you have a good prospect already, and the lower the goalies quality, the lower the price will be. So he will be good for you for a season or two and then your present goalie can take over the starting position. I might be able to part with my back-up, he has 74 goaltending right now.

Okay so I'm in Vancouver and Osoyoos for all of next week so I'm going to be on here very rarely. Post your questions still though if you have any and I'll get to them once I get back to calgary. And I'm going to put Chris Parent on the market as well, and maybe a few other players, so anyone who wants to look just look at my player page in the next few days, I'll try to post screen shots of the players I put up tomorrow.

So here's 2 more players for people to look at. Steve Moncur was my captain last year, he has 88 points in 103 games playing with my team and another previous, so if I sell him this would be his third team. Michel Coleman was a guy I got from the sports acadamy last year, his qualities just aren't good enough to ever improve fast enough to crack my line-up, so I'm probably never going to play him, but he should help one of your teams for a season or two for sure. I'll post Moncur's stats up as well, Coleman doesn't have any stats.

Moncur is pretty much what I'm looking for now, 1/2nd line RW. If you put him up I'll put a bid on him for sure.

Edit: As long as I don't pick anyone else up in that time...has anyone else on the Market put in a bid for lets say 20,000, and a few minutes later the guy is worth 300,000? Funny how that happens.
Edit(2): Nevermind, scooped up a Frenchman for 10,000 (ovr 200)...maybe someone else will bid on him though

I'm having second thoughts about selling Moncur, and if I do put him up, it'll probably be for a bit more than 10 000, so you won't be getting him as cheap as you did Clegg. I hope Clegg helps your team out, he was my first line RW in my first year.

Thanks man, he's a definate upgrade to my team! I now have two RW'ers that I've bought, so I wouldn't need Moncur as much as others may.

In all I bought 7 players (4 F's, 2 D and a Goalie) for 150,000k, plus 5 staffers for 63k or so. I'm hoping that's enough to beat people who never change their tactics (normal/normal) when I stay on low as I've had trouble in the past with that. Time to build up some Facilities!

Trust me, try to stay on low in the first half of the season. All the people who are playing normal will have lost a bunch of energy later on in the season, and you can then go up to normal yourself and you'll end the year with a 9 game winning streak or something! You just have to be patient, that's what's happening to me right now, my team is out of it's league up in league II.1 right now.

Yeah I'm seeded 395th...but it looks like we'll be playing similar teams or no-name teams so hopefully we'll get to at least the 2nd round!

I played my first game with my new players, and wasn't disappointed. An 8-1 victory, with my new players combining for 4G and 5A's...with Albert Roche scoring a hat trick and getting on the weekly all-star team!
Kendal's old player Clegg chipped in with an assist on a second line that didn't click today but wasn't needed.
Also saw that chalms won, I think with out new players we'll have a shot at the playoffs. And it'll be a lot more interesting the next time we play too

Kinda pisses me off - played an inferior team, got the tactics matchup in my favor & played at high priority vs. his normal and still lost.

If I had won, it would have placed me in the top 8.

I'm 3-1-0-1 since taking over my team, which isn't bad (they lost the first 3 games on their own).

I'm # 367... I get a first round bye.
