To those who want to see what selecting "Colors, Invert Images" can do quick/easy, check out the link below. It is moderately NSFW.
The link is to a crackpot 'Be scared of the Gov't' website that I do not necessarily endorse, but hosts the images in question. I should also note that I have personally tried the invert (Using MS Paint believe it or not) and verified that it works.

Lol, they build a machine to see through people's clothes, is it so shocking that it actually sees through people's clothes?

My problem isn't with the government seeking new ways to improve security. They should.
But just because the US completely screwed up with one attack despite numerous warnings(surprise, surprise)....doesn't mean they need to shut down every single damn airport in the whole world with extra security just to tell everyone, "hey, we're doing something."

Wow, epic lulz..
The picture of the woman is FAKE. It's not from one of the scanners in question, it's from a stock photo CD.
Imagine that, the tinfoil hat crowd faking things to try and make people scared.

Just write "NOT A BOMB!" in those metallic silver markers across your chest.
Or if you want to skip the resulting body cavity search, maybe just "HI MOM!".

The odd thing is, if my experience is anything to go by, Canada seems to be the one reacting (or overreacting) and the US hasn't changed their carry on baggage rules or security measures at all.
Everyone on my flight from Houston to Calgary carried on bags of all descriptions. I had a regular sized carry on bag containing 2 cameras, a few cables, a bunch of batteries, a dive computer and laptop without so much as an extra glance. Reverse that flight and I would have had to check my bag.

Well if you're flying from Canada to the US, wouldn't you be subject to the requirements of US Customs?
I know Obama was asking a lot of airports to employ ridiculous security measures. At one point people who were already at numerous airports in Europe(IIRC) waiting to fly to the US.....they were told carry-on baggage wasn't allowed.
If the US really wanted to solve this they would start using profiling methods. A 90 year old nun isn't going to blow up a plane. And a 6 year old kid won't either. Send them through the scanner and let them go.

I've flown to and from Israel, and I must say I've never felt more safe flying on an airplane. They were never intrusive, and asked fairly basic questions just to see your response. We were in and at the secured zone/lounge within 20 minutes. If I were a terrorist I would have my pants well before I got to the interviewer. Guys with machine guns in tactical gear all around, two interviewers per person. Once checks your documentation and luggage while you get interviewed by the other. Great system, gets lots of people through, and not as intrusive.
It's amazing what actually happens when you have trained people doing security vs. old bags and retirees, or people who couldn't get any other job.

Israel also does racial profiling. People just don't know about it.

I would think the opposite. Who would be surprised that Israel does racial profiling?
They have said repeatedly that the job of their security people is to keep their country safe, not to make people happy.

There isn't.
I agree with profiling at the airport. Israel just does it in a way that chances are people don't know they're being profiled.
I read an article a while back that talked about the way Israel does their security at airports. You've been looked at, scanned, identified, your history and background checked before you ever get to the check-in place.
And they also have cameras that randomly pick people out in a crowd and scan their face. If they're clear the computer stores it and when they eventually check-in the guys running the machines know they can let them through faster.

No I meant people don't know about it because its all done with cameras without the people being profiled realizing it.
