But if these are real, I doubt they come from a distant planet. These things have been mentioned in ancient texts, drawn in paintings, I think even found on hieroglyphs. They've been here throughout Earth's history. It's not likely an advanced civilization would be casually observing us for thousands of years.
More likely, they are from Earth, and are phenomena we can't observe yet because our technology hasn't caught up to a level where we can detect these things at will. (Kind of like ghosts.)
Or if they really are from outer space, they are from a system so close to ours that flying by is just a stop on the way somewhere else.
|
Or what many people think, they are from earth, from our future and found a way to go back in time.
But to simply say another life form 1000's of years more advanced than us couldn't learn to travel faster than light is living in a bubble IMO.

The universe is HUGE (not to mention constantly expanding). If there wasn't life elsewhere I would be very surprised.
Will we ever meet other lifeforms in our lifetime? Who knows.

In my opinion, we already have.

Yes, I am serious. What actual evidence can you give me that proves the actual existence of aliens any more than the actual existence of a creator god.

Tens of thousands of UFO sightings.
Thousands and thousands of people telling similar stories about alien abductions.
Cattle mutiltations.
Area 51
Ruins on Mars

The presence of extraterrestrial beings can be tested and proved. The presence of god can never be tested or proven true or false.
Also, statistic and probability can hypothesize the existence of other forms of life. Statistics and probability can not hypothesize the existence of God.

There's a possibility that the original God in the heavens and aliens are one and the same.

I'm sorry, I believe in the existence of other intelligences out there, but to use these as proof of their existence is laughable.
It has not been proven. But science can provide us with a very high probability that they do exist. Saying that the exist because of mutilations is preposterous and basically anti-science.

Ruins on Mars? Area 51? Cattle mutilations? UFO sightings?
I give you thousands upon thousands upon millions of supposed "miracles." I give you supposed religious artifacts, I give you religious holy texts, I give you actual historical figures in Jesus and Muhammed.
Again, where is the actual evidence that proves the existence of aliens over the existence of a creator god? You're giving me things that are about as provable as any other religious claim, and telling me thousands of UFO sightings outweigh the religious experiences of billions of people throughout the history of the world.
I personally believe in the existence of alien life, someplace, and I'm agnostic, so I don't necessarily believe in the existence of a god, but there isn't any more evidence to prove the existence of aliens than there is to prove the existence of a creator god.

So statistics and probability can say there is a chance that aliens exist?

People worshiped a god(s) long before the bible was completed...
