Next time they ask for it, just say that you have a DUI.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

It's only for the lock, and it doesn't have to be a drivers license, just some photo ID.

It's been years now, but drop-ins had to leave a piece of ID at the front desk. Not sure what the policy is anymore.

For Mens + at EC is $120

I actually very much like it there, likely because I dont have to deal with any front desk slackers.

My girlfriend does drop in from time to time when I go and she only has to leave it for the lock.

So, you could give them a passport instead? That is pretty much the same as saying it must be a drivers license. That is the only photo ID that I carry with me.

This is a serious privacy issue, given that with a drivers license you have enough information for identity theft and they obviously did not take enough care to protect the information.

This sounds like a policy issue, not the issue of the girl. Everyone makes mistakes, but there should be no reason for a simple mistake that would allow this to happen.

Unless they change their practices, I would lodge a complaint with the Alberta Privacy Commissioner.

I deal with peoples personal info all day, as a finance manager at a car dealership. You would be surprised, but there is very little someone can do with your drivers license that will damage your credit which is the primary concern of most people. The one card you should never carry with you however is your SIN. Don't put it in your blackberry, or write it down on a piece of paper. That's the big piece of ID that someone can really do damage with. I could go on facebook, using peoples first name, last name, and posted birthday to create 1000's of credit applications. But the second the bank requests the SIN that is when you are cornered. If you have it, it is almost a free ticket guaranteeing that persons identity.
