And if you get H1N1, don't complain. People have cancer, Buzzard.

You know our lives are easy because we're created these ridiculous problems such as germaphobia. Be thankful that your life is easy enough to even care about "germs".

We would all be better off if we were as constitutionally hardy as dogs and other animals. Man... dogs will eat anything.... including other dog poop. ... and nothing seems to bother them. How did the human race become so "sensitive" to germs and bacteria?

Here's the difference kiddo:
You are paying everyday for your coffee from Tim Hortons, even though you know they won't use gloves and everytime you take a sip you fear for your life because you live in fear. Despite knowing that they don't wear gloves, you continue to come back again.
And then you come onto CP and complain like a sissyboy.
It's not like you are going to a restaurant knowing that everytime you get a soup, there will be a fly in it, and still come back. And then come onto CP and complain that there's a fly in your soup, and then continue to go back to the restaurant even though you know there will be a fly in your soup.
Are you aware of how silly this is?

First of all I never whined that they don't wear gloves. I whined that they stick their grubby meat hooks all over the lid that I'm about to stick in my mouth. Is it too much to ask to have a relatively clean surface to drink out of. Oh right, there's kids in Africa drinking out of mud puddles.....no bloody way ?? But hey....this isn't Africa, we have clean water, and we know a little about how nasty little viruses spread around. I don't know 'bout you, but I happen to like lessening the odds somewhat of catching the bug of the week.
Second, where did I imply that I'm not a thankful person for what I have or don't have? Is that really relevant to the discussion?
By your reasoning, unsanitary conditions exist in third world countries, so I should suck it up here, accept that I may get a cup with Joe Blows freshly sneezed hand all over it, even though it's simple to prevent?
The whole point really of my op is that I am paying for a product/service. I understand I have a choice to go there or not. Is that the way it should be? Shouldn't a service be basically sold as first rate, not "well this is the way it is and if you don't like it, go somewhere else"? I happen to like going there and like the product, but I've identified a way that I feel a decent product can be improved upon.

There. I posted it for you again so you can read it. I think you may have missed the point...AGAIN.

I don't get goofballs like you that come into threads just to be a dick. The guy simply mentioned a pet peeve and got a conversation going, and your contribution is to come along and call him a whiner, a sissyboy and "kiddo". WTF, man? You're in here whining about whining and bringing up water quality in Africa? If you want to talk about water quality in africa, start a thread about it. If you don't like the fact that Buzzard is grossed out by grubby hands touching his coffee lid, go read a different thread.

I find it ironic that all the whiners are out in full force on this day. November 11th.
You think you could have picked a better day to whine about your insignificant problems?
On this day remember the countless lives lost and sacrifice made by our soliders. We remember a time when people actually had something to complain about. Can you imagine being sent to a beach to die? Wow what heroes. Show some respect.
Next time you go on and on about your insignificant problems, try to put things into perspective. And next Remembrance day, instead of whining about how the guy behind the counter doesn't wear gloves, pay some respect to those who have sacrificed their lives for our country.
And don't even get 4X4 started on pickup trucks.

I was going to split out the derail but I can't find a way to separate out all the nonsense, it's too intertwined. If the OP wants me top reopen the thread send me a PM and I'll reopen it.
