Anyone buy this on 360?
Main reason I'm thinking about getting it is for the ME2 bonus.

I bought it on computer and I have a pretty decent gaming rig, and all I can say is the graphics in this game are BEAUTIFUL. Playing this on max video settings and max resolution on my 42 inch tv really show off how awesome the graphics in this game are. I hear the XBox version really can't compare in the graphics department.

Agreed. Graphically, this is an amazing game.

It is a little disconcerting though that everyone talks, but my character seems to be a mute, lol.

Yeah, and how none of the other characters ever seem to say your name.

another reason i just can't get into this game. with Mass Effect i liked being able to dictate the type of person my character would be, and actually hear them act like a saint/prick in response (bitch slapping the reporter was one of the greatest moments in video game history). i just can't care about my character at all when he's a mute and everyone says "hey you"

I have no problem with not having your character have voiced dialogue, nor that anyone else says your name. IMO it doesn't take away anything from the story.

So far, I feel way more connected to the characters and immersed in the story then I did in Mass Effect. The last time I played a game where I cared this much about my choices was KOTOR.

While I would have loved to see the character's words spoken, it just doesn't make sense from a technical standpoint. According to this interview with Bioware's David Gaider, there's over 900,000 lines of voiced dialogue in the game. You would easily double that if you add the player characters voice on top of that, probably making it a 40GB game by then.

Good thing PS3 uses Blu-Ray.

So I bought the Collectors Edition off the EA store on Tuesday night and got the game today! They said like 7-10 business days, hehe. Took me bloody 15 minutes opening the thing, those stickers were on there GOOD. About to put it in now!

What chars has everyone started?

I have a level 6 peasant elf rouge (I know it isn't peasent elf, but I can't remember the actual name of the race.)
It is okay, I am going to rock a dwarf warrior tonight, I think something a little less squishy would be better for me.

Just finished the elf mage and human noble origin stories. Not entirely certain which of the two I want to take forward at this point.

I ran through all of the origins stories. Out of all of them, I think that the City Elf, Human Noble and Dwarf Noble were the best. The only origin I didn't really care for was the Dalish elf. I'm thinking I'm going to play through with my Human Noble DPS Warrior, then probably with a Mage.

I have a Dalish Elf Warrior at level 12 and the Magi Tower is giving me a headache. Not the enemies, just the layout and constant warping.

Get it on Steam! For PC games that I purchase, I love buying it from them. Download speeds are great (1-2 megs/s) and you don't have to worry about discs.

Discs are cool if your hard drive crashes though.

City Elf story is pretty good too. I love how if you get to a cut scene after a battle, everyone is covered in blood - save the bloody archer, who's standing 30 feet away, lol. A nice little bit of verisimilitude.

But with your steam account, you can just redownload your old files. I've changed computers three times now, and just log into steam and can see my list of 20 games.

Yeah, steam is good for that. The only problem is when you want to play a single player game and you don't have an internet connection.

Played through the opening of the Dwarf Noble last night, was much more interest and much more challenging than the Daelish Elf. I played as a warrior.
