Man thinking about so many good movies have come out in the last few years. How did I leave Almost Famous on my list? I dont understand how any man cannot like Gladiator. It is pure bonafide badass.

Also, as a person who is far from homophobic, I hated Brokeback Mountain. I thought it was so incredibly boring. The acting was great I'll give it that, but it just couldnt keep my attention

My personal favourites are:

The Boondock Saints (technically just squeaks in)
The Dark Knight
Iron Man
No Country for Old Men
Donnie Darko
Walk the Line
10 Things I Hate About You (again another just getting in that decade)
Casshern (a wholly subtitled movie out of Japan but a good watch for me anyways)
Shaun of the Dead
Run Fatboy Run
O Brother, Where Art Thou?

I know 11 but I don't care.
It would have just been 10 if not for watching Run Fatboy Run on the weekend.

Good call on Million Dollar Baby.

Another movie that most people didn't like but for some reason I really enjoyed was I Am Legend.

One that I'll also add to my list is Tropic Thunder. Probably one of the funniest movies ever, let alone this decade.

I agree with this. If you set aside the book and take the movie for itself, it was very good.

I did find the ending disappointing as I felt they chickened out. I thought the true realization would have been much more compelling (Oh... turns out I am the monster of THEIR legends!)

All that set aside, I think it is Will Smith's best performance and a damn good one at that.

For a second there I thought you said Rambo

J/K that movie was pretty fun to watch. I like these lists because it gives me some ideas on movies to watch that I might have missed like "Almost Famous"

It would almost be fun to have a movie ring where a person suggested 1 movie each week that everyone watched and posted about (book club without all that silly reading)

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Batman: Begins
Batman: The Dark Knight
Star Trek
Spiderman
Spiderman 2
X-Men
Troy

I also thought, while cheesy, the King Arthur movie was great, and I will give Pirates of the Caribbean an honorary mention since it has Keira Knightley.
