I think with the exception of the Rebels (who will get better) and of the teams in our division could go all the way. My team was in 4th last place 2.5 months into the season and finished 4th, it just takes getting hot at the right time.

I really want another shot at the Iceholes. We lost 5-2 to them, and we played terrible, undisciplined hockey. We let them get under our skin and took a whole schwack of penalties, including a well-deserved penalty to yours truly for a bodycheck. Just undisciplined--and so weird for me, since I really never do that.

But those guys got under my skin--their name is pretty apt!

It's always nice to have your subs eligible I know last winter my team was missing our 3 best players (2 vacation, 1 suspension) and we hit the playoffs and got pummeled 8 - 2. So I try to make sure we get guys out, it also helps that they changed the rule for subs, it used to be that they had to play half your teams games that made it hard.

Wait, we don't seem to be on the playoff bracket. Don't all teams make the playoffs in NCHL?

So as a team that gets beat by them, we can't point to the boxscore and say "Look, he was a ringer and won his team the game", because what he did was go "Okay, 3-3 with 2 minutes left, I'll just skate through their whole team, put the puck in the net with ease, and there we go, we win".

So as an opposing player it's really frustrating, because although the game has the feel of a close game with similar skilled players, it's really not, because that one guy will score when he wants to, so in essence, that team is going to win the game, it's just the guy that could have scored 7 goals, instead scored two goals, but just waited for the right times.
True I completely agree look at my post about the Guy playing in the E and B division. of the guys from AA playing for us we've lost more games than won with them. We made fun of the one guy quite alot because he played 4 games for us and only had 1 point a goal, and I think we lost all but 1 of the games he played for us.

If you finished 1st - 4th place you get a bye.

Cogent how was Sean Savage's ankle this season? I saw he only played 2 games with your team was he just subbing for you? I know he started the Summer Season last year with my team and then had to stop because of his ankle.

But every team makes it though, right? Because we didn't finish 1st-4th and we're not on the bracket.

Yeah every team does what team are you on? They also base the brackets based on Winning percentage so if teams came into your division and had a better record but had a lower winning percentage in your division you still finish higher.

Oh, that could be it. We're the Saints in E north, and we did lose most of our games in D, and we probably were a top 4 team in E.

Yep, the Archangels are a top 4 team, but they play in the first set of games, so it looks like we got a by.

Yeah you went 14 - 5 - 0 - 1 in the E so your winning percentage was almost .700 likely you finished in 3rd place.

I can only think of our last game against them and I played so bad that I don't know if they were that bad. I guess my team doesn't have the best reputation lol, we're a rather intense (and inconsistent) team, but I guess Cogent doesn't like us very much. I don't have any problems with any of the teams specifically maybe a player or 2 on each team. I know playing the Ice Demons it's going to be chippy, and playing the Smoked Salmons I know the 2 guys are going to do 90% of their damage, and the Pirates I work with a few of those guys so I know I'm getting a few extra whacks after the whistle but it's all in good fun.

Ice Demons ARE chippy, aren't they? It's all good. The chippiest team we've played was the Bears, though. Our last game was quite physical for a no-check league.

Yeah the Ice Demons are pretty chippy I thought they were going to hit the 300pim mark but they slowed right down. The Bears had a misconduct in our last game against them so yeah they are pretty chippy too.

Hey Guys.

I haven't played hockey since I was about 10 (im 23 now) and am interested in joining an adult non contact league, I have a few friends playing in CAHL but I was just curious about the best way to go about starting as a beginner. I was thinking about registering for the Hockey Experts beginners program for the summer (Affiliated with NCHL) and then joining a league in the fall. Any advice would be awesome! thanks.

I HIGHLY recommend the beginner program.

I had never played organized hockey before - registered for a summer team in the CAHL and it was okay, but definitely not a good dynamic just randomly tossing singles together.

Next year did the beginner program with the NCHL and it was great - you play a few games as a team of beginners against other beginner teams too, which was awesome! The best part is - at the end, there's a ton of fellow beginners that likely want to play, and you all form a new team, or join another one.

This is how my team formed last year, and we had a blast in the Eiii division (lowest of the low) :-)

There's a guy who plays in both the B and E and has 74 points in 20 games in the E division and 97 points in 26 Games in the B that I have a problem with because he's clearly too good for both divisions, but since I'm using the guys I'm using I haven't said a word about it to the league. I know one of the league's (not sure which) judges your teams initial placement on your best players and I'd be fine with that.
He plays for the NCHL team theres another guy on there, played them in the B division this year, nothing special, just racked up points somehow.

Are all you guys playing summer? A few of us from the Timbits have started a new team in the HNA... just want to try something different.

It looks like they have shifted around E quite a bit. I know both the Timbits and the Rebels have been sent down to E2.

GravityKillr - I don't mind your team, actually you guys are really good to reff... not like those Screaming Sheep a**holes

I would kill for something like that here... we play against a team this week ( in the lowest division) who beat the team that just beat our ass 2 weeks in a row. 9-2 , 12-0 .... They also beat them by 8 goals.... hell our fans might be chanting we want 20 during this game...

Yeah we're an intense group but we're not jerks we just hate to lose, lol the only team I really wasn't a fan of was the Smoked Salmons because they had the 2 guys who did all the work and the rest of the guys thought they were the greatest team ever. Obviously a guy here and there on other teams too but . The Screws forfeited their game against us because of one guy, he got a penalty and completely lost his mind when he left the ice he stood at the side of the rink without his jersey on cursing about the ref, and atleast once he opened the door and cursed out the ref some more. we were winning 5 - 4 at the time but not a a good way to lose.
We only have 4 teams in our division from the Winter, Us, The Bears, The Ice Demons, and Gangrene
