Im a metal head as well... but my guilty pleasures are more of the gangster rap variety.

Not the new crap where rappers sing about how much money they have... Im talkin bout real muthaphukkin G's...

And what says gangsta like drinking a 40, slappin your ol lady like a pimp and then dropping her old man with a right cross?

Big L has some cool tunes with a smokey motown feel... He can really put lyrics together... one of my favorites, miles better than the predictable crap rap put out today by guys who have speech impediments.

Other than the few I've thanked, one of my major guilty pleasure bands is Barenaked Ladies.

Chickety China, the Chinese chicken
Have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'
Watchin X-Files with no lights on
We're dans la maison
I hope the smokey man's in this one

Oh and Shaggy. I love me some Shaggy haha.

The downside? It was his lotus flower and the song was "What Hurts the Most."

Crap, what I grew up with is your guilty pleasure. Eazy E, ok I can see that, he's kinda cheese, but Big L is a classic MC. No need to feel guilty there.

Pretty sad but in the 80's I used to like some Duran Duran tunes even though it was totally uncool to admit to liking them. Now it seems ok to like them for some reason.

I'll also admit to liking some ABBA songs too. Just love Murial's Wedding.

I'll also admt to liking Katy Perry's Hot N cold but she can't beat these guys:

YESSS!!!! I love this song, and drove everyone in rez nuts with it haha. Best part is when they forget the lyrics and just kind of look at each other and smile.

I try not to judge anybody who likes Nickelback because for whatever reason from time to time I find myself REALLY in the mood for a hyper-cheesy Nickelback power ballad.

I've always had fairly diverse listening tastes so there are many of these songs listed as guilty pleasures which are no where near guilty for me. Especially the 80s stuff, I can't get enough of it.

I'd say the one which qualifies is Mitsou - Bye Bye, Mon Cowboy

I will admit to feeling very out of place at his Stange Animal tour concert. I went with a couple of other guys and I think we were 3 out of perhaps 20 guys at the sold out Centre of the Arts in Regina. Lots of screaming girls at that concert. He did put on a hell of a show as I recall.

I have TPOH on vinyl if you have anything which will play it. I only have mp3s of Platinum Blonde

For your disc you should also include:
Chilliwack - My Girl
The Box - Closer Together (Sass Jordan is of course the backup singer for this Montreal one hit wonder)
Jane Sibbery - Mimi on the Beach
Martha and the Muffins - Echo Beach

That's the only version I like. It's approximately 2837453 times better than the original.

I really hate the "image" of lots of pop artists so I avoid listening to it on principle but I'll admit I did find these songs catchy but never DLed them. Can't bring myself to do it no matter how catchy they are. And FTR Britney and Gwen are easily the 2 hottest pop stars. 'Cept maybe the lead from the cat Dolls but I think they slit.

Britney - If You Seek Amy, Toxic
Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For?
