DAMMIT (again...) I had just seen Texas parked at Chinook Centre too.
OK, credit for Mississippi and Texas. The other two were awarded already.
As for UK, wow, another head scratcher. If I do this again next year perhaps we will include other foreign countries too.

Actually, there are a few UK Plates around, most of the vehicles are with the UK Army at Suffield. A good time to go UK Plate Spotting is at the Airport when the RAF L-1011 lands, they always send a bus and some vans to go pick up the arriving soldiers. A few years ago I saw 3 vehicles and a trailer with UK plates waiting on the Arrivals level.
Off topic, here is a link to another forum where someone spotted UAE Plates from Dubai in Vancouver last year.

Sorry that this is off-topic, because it didn't happen in Calgary, but I saw some sort of mutant combo bus/camper in NYC yesterday with both Alaska and German plates. I just stopped and stared at it, I couldn't for the life of me figure out a plausible explanation for the design of the thing or the plate combination.

Yee haw! I just bagged michigan, both moving and stopped, plus moving montana. Pics as soon as my skitzophrenic BB decides to acknowledge the computer.

Michigan moving on 17th ave:
Michigan parked on Elbow Dr. 5 minutes later:
And as I was stopped behind that car snapping that pic, Montana drove by so I had to "drive briskly" to catch up and snap it:
And that Montana car was particularly interesting to me. It was full of young people. My assumption is that they're here for Stampede. Take that Stampede haters!

Alaksa is a little bit different when it comes to plates as far as larger commercial type vehicles are concerned.
http://dot.alaska.gov/mscve/webdocs/...gistration.pdf
Basically if you want to legally drive a big vehicle in Alaska you need an Alaskan plate regardless of where else its registered.
Other jurisdictions are similar, if you drive any vehicle to China, Egypt or Iran for example, they make you register it and give you a license plate when it crosses the border.
So really if you have a commercial vehicle you want to drive it to Alaska and then decide to drive it to those other destinations, you could up to have 5 license plates on your vehicle!

Jydk, any further info you have on what you saw and where? That is very interesting.

I'm thinking about starting a thread with a pool on who on this thread gets in the first automobile accident. Points will be awarded based on predicted serverity of crash, injuries/fatalities, how many innocent people involved, time of day, ect. Cause you know if this get popular.....
But with regards to the Argintina licence plate i found, I just googled it. I'm a cheat. A poor one too I guess as it didn't even get me any points

OK, Mel advised me the New Mexico plate was spotted driving, so strike that one off the list.
And 4x4 scoops! Moves up to second position.
Website updated.

I missed this post but the same thing happened to me yesterday. Except instead of Hang Loose, it was a legit plate - problem was that it was on the front of an oncoming car and when I checked the mirror as it passed, the back of the car had an Alberta plate, so I figure it doesn't count.

Wyoming spotted mobile on Elbow Drive SW.
I also spotted another plate but the lady was driving crazy and I couldn't get close enough to see what it was. My pictures were not good enough to determine the origin either - darn iPhone camera!
