I've thought about this way too much and archie is a better match with veronica.
Archie is a total hound dog and has to chase women 24/7, take away the pg rating and archie is a sex addict. He would try to cheat on them day and night. Betty couldn't do anything about it, she worships archie and could never tame him, it would be heartbreaking. Veronica though, has the conviction to keep archie in line and the lodge fortune may convince him to to keep it in his pants.

yeah but I bet Veronica is very selfish in bed while Betty has the need to please Archie to the point she will do ANYTHING for him. That might keep him around.

What about walking right up the middle, where he nails both of them in a hot sordid cocaine and malt liquor fueled three way where he fulfills every mans fantasy of making them warm each other up before he snorts some coke off of veronica's butt.
All the time that Pointdexter nerd dude films it using stolen AV club material and releases the Archie Andrew's dirty sanchez sex tape on the internet.
Meanwhile a depressed Reggie who lost out on both girls goes to the bar and gets roofied by Moose who then dresses up as the gimp and slowly (wow family show)
