To those of you who enjoy Stampede off the grounds - what prevents you from enjoying the same activities outside of the 10 days? And if the answer is nothing, this means Stampede has absolutely zero impact on your ability to have a good time. Which is kind of the point.

But the city's nightlife is a hell of a lot different during stampede than it is any other time of year.

Do you go out during the Stampede at all? There's an awesome vibe around the city, everywhere you go people are drunk and having a good time.

I don't go out at all during Stampede, so as not to impede those who enjoy it.

I picture you as a shut in 70 year old hermit, screaming at imaginary children on his lawn.

As much as you ENJOY putting down others with different opinions, apparently.

So yes, I'm a crazy 70 year old hermit. Hahaha! I've overcome by your sharp wit and keen insight! How is it you're not famous with such obvious virtues?

Oh, I AM famous, I'm sure you've heard of me. I can be found on here various hours of the day, depending on my work schedule.

And you don't know the people in my office. They might very well be ######bags because matters or factors completely unrelated to Stampede.

Lol. That might be your opinion, but I bet it's not theirs...

I'm sure most of them revel in their overall level of ######bagginess, actually.

I say we all wear our flames Jerseys out on either friday or saturday night. Easy identification. Mine will have my name on it!

Stampede would be better for me if I actually had money to go out and have a good time with. I love men in tight-ish jeans, showing off their cute behinds. And there's all that rope just laying around...

You haven't learned the fine art of Stampede party crashing then. There is a ton of free booze to be had if you know where to look. For instance, there is a Canon party at the Hyatt tomorrow and the lackey working the guest list would look pretty foolish for not letting the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President in charge of Global Marketing of Massive Dynamic into their little shindig.

Especially if you're a good looking chick, and there's some 19 year old kid working the door, a little cleavage and some smooth talking, you're in getting loaded on some random company's dime.

I was at the Stampede the past couple days, went to the rodeo on Monday and sat through the rain (still enjoyable) and went to the evening show last night...both were good times.

People don't come to the stampede from all over the world for overpriced mini donuts and the same rides that go to every other fair in North America. Don't base it's merits on how the rides are, or that your corndog was burned. A large city getting into a 10 day party is a unique sight to be seen. I'm pretty sure if I had the time I could do something 'stampede' every day for all 10 days. Some people just hate stuff based on the fact that too many people like it.
