I really like the checking from behind, high sticking and interference calls because those are things that the user actually has to do. I can't stand the cross checking or elbowing calls because it seems like they occur randomly when throwing a check.

Is there still STUPID USELESS replays online? It gets annoying when I am playing a game and the team goes offside 4 times within 5 seconds because they don't understand the rule, and I have to watch replays of it EVERYTIME because some idiot doesn't hit A.

Same with the intro videos, and especially the end period replays that last 2-3 minutes. Get rid of all this garbage, I don't want to see something I JUST DID, especially when the other team goes offside about 40 times a game.

^^^ the end of period replays are good cause they give you a chance to grab a glass of water or whatever. Personally, I don't mind a brief break once in a while.

More than anything, my initial estimation that 09 was simply the beta/alpha, if you compare the features/polish,nhl 10 is simply a leap forward in terms of features/bug fixes.

One thing weird about the hitting from behind is that the announcer says you're kicked out of the game, but you clearly aren't. It's way too inviting to NOT hit someone from behind, LOL. But it's generally just a 2 minute penalty in the game.

that is exactly the problem. 8 people are sitting there bored and waiting all so you can get your water!

Apparently the devs have been spending a week making a trailer that will debut next thursday (may 28) on gametrailers. I suspect it will outline the major changes, but perhaps that's just wishful thinking on my part.

Yeah. There should be an option before the game starts that offers the game without replays (except for goals). It tacks on at least an extra 5-10 minutes of useless video, usually of someone just skating around.

They really need to fix the video replay thing too. So the top highlight of a game was when I went offside? And I'm only able to see 2 seconds? Laaaaame.

yea, that I kinda don't get either. I scored a really pretty breakaway goal when I first started playing 09, and I figured it would be in the highlight replays at the end of the game, and I could save it from there. But when I went in to look for it at the end of the game I had 5 replays of mediocre saves. I never bothered even looking at the highlights at the end of the game after that.

Finally some people acknowledge the replay video's!! I usually only play with my friend online and we get so pissed having to watch EVERY replay EVERY intro video.

Like there is ALWAYS at least one person who HAS TO JUST HAS to watch EVERYTHING.

For offline games I don't care, keep the replays, but for online WHY DO WE NEED REPLAYS???!!?!?! The ones I do want to watch like me scoring a beautiful goal, I can't even save anyway (because of online), so whats the point?


I want to make an account on the EA forums just to tell them this one point. The game could be crap, I'll still buy it, as long as they get rid of this garbage non-sense for online play. It takes 45 minutes to complete some of the Online Team Play games, because one person watches every replay, the intro videos, etc. I would rather play 2 games in 45 minutes, than "play" one, and watch replays.

I know this isn't really a feedback/criticism thread, but I kinda hope they tweak the way some of the menus and screens. the biggest thing I wish they would change is the dressing room for the EASHL. when you are in there, you can't do ANYTHING. i wish you could at least look at stats/standings while you wait. having the chat is nice, but most people dont have keyboards, so its pretty silly to regularly converse through it.

I think it should give you the option to watch a game your teammates are playing in. That way we don't have to bug each other to find out how long until next game, plus like Dobbles said, it would make being in DR less boring!

I've always wanted the game to have an option to play seasons for the stanley cup online. Have the ability to GM your team and play games etc, but i guess that is difficult to coordinate.
