What kind of plan did you get Locke ??
I'm thinking about the same phone as you.
Now I just need to pick a plan.

I went with the $35 rate plan and picked double anytime minutes and the $35 smartphone data plan. I just thought those would work best for me. Essentially, unlimited text, email, 400 minutes and 500Mb data.
I did that because my minutes rarely go over 300 and I had no idea how much data I'd use but I knew I needed the text/email to eb unlimited.
BTW, I am loving this thing!

Your plan isn't written in stone. If you pick a plan and find after the first month or two that it doesn't exactly suit your needs you can make changes. Either by going to mytelusmobility.com and making the changes yourself or by phoning Telus directly. I make changes all the time.
The only thing to watch, is if you have a older, cheaper plan that has been grandfathered to you over the years. Sometimes if you remove those you can never get them back.

My problem is that both mine and the wifes phone are on the same plan.
I need something that will accomodate us both.

Talk to Telus. My wife and I just went on a share plan. Our data plans are different. But we share minutes. Works for me since I usually go over and she is usually way under. If you talk to Telus they will advise you on the best plan for your money. Or at least they should. Doesn't hurt to make a phone call. *611 from your mobile phone.

So I am now a crack / er...blackberry user as well.
Now to figure out how to use the damn thing.
Must be fitting as I bought it for work and my first incoming call seconds after I set it up, was from a client in the field with problems.
Anyone got a 250Hp AB VFD kicking around.......

You UofC webmail isn't just webmail, you can go to http://telus.blackberry.com (or rogers.blackberry.com) and set up access to your account there. Then you can use the native messaging app to access your inbox. I don't think you'll get IMAP folders (eg. subfolders in your mail account), but you will get your inbox and be able to send/receive email much more easily than via the web interface.
I'm suprised nobody would have helped you set that up at the time of purchase/activation...hopefully I just didn't understand, and you did in fact have this set up already.

My biggest complaint with the Storm is that they try and present too many buttons and controls on the screen at once. On the iPhone, for example, going into the settings screen shows you 7 or 8 options to hit, each a nice big target for your finger. The Storm shows 15 or more, making each selection much smaller and harder to hit. Combine that with a general chunkiness in scrolling compared to the iPhone.
My impression as well is that the Storm really wants you to keep your finger on the screen when moving around, like a finger on a touchpad on a laptop, whereas the iPhone encourages you to point with your finger directly to the item you want to click in one motion. If you have iPhone/iPod Touch experience prior to using a Storm, its extremely difficult mentally to get the hang of the slide-and-click motion that the Storm seems most suited for.
