Help My Buddy Pick His New Mazda

As a fan of Subarus, I'm a big fan of WRC Rally Blue, the official color of Subaru's World Rally Championship effort.



A Mazda 3 is hardly a WRX (MS3 perhaps)... so it's perhaps overkill but I do like certain cars to have some pop - I'm OK with it on a Mazda 3.

I'd have to see the blue in the steel to get a better idea but I voted for Celestial Blue, Gunmetal reminds me of something I've seen of Chrysler Sebrings circa 2000 which may be the ultimate offence.

Wow... It is absolutely weird that I have that car... same year, same colour, in a Sedan... I have to say though, I love the colour.

As for the OP. Getting a 2010 isn't the best idea right now, there has already been a recall for 2010, even though it isn't major.

If I had to pick between the 2, Gun Metal Blue for sure. But going off the board, I'd say Crystal White Pearl, Copper Red or Graphite (Grey)

So... we went back to the lot tonight to get another look at the colours in person. The "chick blue" is out of the picture... but now the White one is in.

Ha! He's notorious for taking forever to make a decision. I'm exactly the opposite. When I bought the car I'm driving now, I literally drove my old car out to Cochrane, picked out a car and two days later drove back out to pick it up.

I'm getting some good experience out of this, though. Needless to say, I got taken to the cleaners on my last car - so now I'm really studying the whole process. I think a lot of people take "smart shopping" for granted. I'm such an impulse buyer... something like this is definitely good for me.

Yeah, I tried to sell him on the red again tonight. He's a Habs fan, he should be all over the red!

Yeah, when we were at Sunridge Mazda last weekend, I went over to the Speed section to see the floor models. I didn't see a 2010 3 there. I saw a Miata (or MX5 or whatever) and... something else...

I drove an '08 recently, and it was a fun little car. Not exactly my style, but a fun car.

The Mazda 3 is one of the funnest Economy cars in my books... definitely funner than Civic and Corolla when they all stock.

BTW, if your friend has the mentality of a kid, he would love a 2010 Mazda 3 (which is probably why he's buying it.) because honestly... doesn't that giant smile of a front grille remind anyone of the movie cars?

Phew, they should have made it more like the new VW Scirocco, because the taillights are WAY too long. God I wished VW would bring the new Scirocco over. At least the new GTI looks somewhat like it.
