With the collapse of the Bucs D and the subsequent defection of Monte Kiffen, Jim Bates will be trying to rebuild. Gone will be the Tampa 2, and a new emphasis on sacks and QB pressure will be instilled.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pick DE Everette Brown out of Florida State.

Well considering every single guy that I would want the Lions to take here is gone I really hope the real draft does not go this way. With no decent ILB or OT available the Detroit Lions will select from the University of Tennessee DE Robert Ayers.
If Sanchez had been avaiable I would have taken him even with Stafford picked 1st overall only because Sanchez is a top 10 talent and would have been way too good to not take.

I really wish I had seen this thread earlier so I could've got involved. Awesome idea. Oh and btw Saint Troy, I wholeheartedly agree with your #14 pick. I also share your feeling that Payton will try sliding him over to FS.

Sorry guys, with the game and the post-game avoidance of CP, completely missed the ball here.
With the 22nd pick, the Vikings would like to select OT Eben Britton from Arizona.
Probably a bit early, but the best OT left on the board, and boy do we need a RT to anchor the line. I hope, in the real draft, that we can trade down and still snag the guy we want!

The Atlanta Falcons select from Ole Miss DT Peria Jerry.
Should be a great defensive lineman for the Falcons.

Well first of all it wouldn't surprise me if Parcells and Ireland decide to trade this pick, for some reason I could see this pick being used to grab Boldin but who knows.
If the Dolphins keep this pick they could be going several different directions (CB, OLB, WR). I don't think BP would use this pick to draft a WR so I believe the Dolphins would select CB.
The Miami Dolphins are proud to select from Connecticut Darius Butler, CB.
Analysis Positives: Adequate height for the position. ... Versatile athlete capable of playing in various defensive schemes. ... Instinctive. ... Good recognition in zone. ... Legitimate cover corner athleticism. ... Very good straight-line speed. ... Loose hips to turn and run with receivers. ... Shows a late burst to close. ... Excellent vertical, can get into position for jump balls and make a play on the ball. ... When playing off, he can shadow his man on slants and over the middle. ... Good hands for the interception. ... Played receiver at times as a senior to take advantage of his playmaking ability. ... Gets his shoulder on the ball to force fumbles. ... Closes quickly and wraps up to prevent gains after catch. ... Gets into the pile to assist in tackles. ... Holds up blocks to force quick screens inside. ... Has the straight-line speed and hands to be an effective kick returner. ... Proved his health with a strong week of practice at the Senior Bowl.
Negatives: Very lanky with thin hips. ... Not particularly strong on the line or able to get off blocks. ... Bit of a duck-and-swipe tackler. ... Does not always play to timed speed, as quicker receivers can get separation downfield. ... Can get pushed off easily by bigger, stronger receivers. ... Allows too much cushion in off man coverage. ... Missed the final two regular-season games in 2008 with a knee sprain.

With the 26th pick in the 2009 NFL entry draft, the Baltimore Ravens are pleased to select WR, Darrius Heyward - Bey.
With Flacco showing what a good QB he could be last year, the Ravens need to shore up the WR corps. Heyward- Bey is one of the, if not the fastest guy in the Draft, and should stretch opposing defenses.

With the 27th pick in the 2009 NFL Entry Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select DT Evander "Ziggy" Hood from the University of Missouri.
Colts Draft Needs
Urgent: The Colts urgently need two quick run-stuffing starting defensive tackles.
We feel Ziggy can be one of those DT's that can stop the run. The Colts primary need is to draft a DT with a WR and Offensive Guard also needed.
There were 2-3 other guys I was strongly considering drafting due to the Colts needs and perhaps 1 of those could have been selected here but I went with Hood (ideally in the real draft I am hoping Jerry is still available at #27).

I have a super busy afternoon so if someone wants to make my next pick as the Bills go ahead, otherwise I won't get to the pick until 2:30ish.

ill pick for the Bills:
With the 28th pick in the CP NFL mock draft. The Bills select:
Tyson Jackson, DE - Louisiana State University
Very suprised to see this guy drop this low in the draft. He will help the Bills defence immediately. He is probably in the Top 3 for DEs in the draft.
edit: as a bills fan, I hope Britten drops to this pick but he was already selected in the CP mock draft.

Good pick Swayze -- can't argue with this at all.... and I agree that he won't fall to #28. I've seen Jackson as high as #12 in many mock drafts and he's actually the #3 pick (to KC) in Rob Rang's mock draft today at www.cbssports.com.

Yeah this is getting annoying. At this rate we won't have it done by the time the draft starts.
Maybe someone should just pick for him? He hasn't been on CP for 4 days (looking at the last time he had activity on his profile).
