That first really warm night in spring when the stars are shining, and the air is filled with the smell of fresh flowers from the lilac trees. You're just walking along and realize for at least for that moment, the city has gone quiet.
And there you are, standing in the warm night air breathing in the spring flowers, looking up at the stars with no sirens or cars with tricked up mufflers assaulting your ears, and you're like "yeah, this is pretty awesome".

That moment when you step into the bathroom at work, stepping lightly on the cold, harshly lit tile. Not only do you realize that you're alone, but when you swing the door open you see the toilet lid still up in the air and it hits you...

you're the first one to take a dump in this stall today.

Being able to walk my dog in between the rain storms we've been having.

The air is crisp and clean, the sun is shining... All is well.

When I do golf later in the day, when I get home and have a shower and put on swim trunks to get that free flowing netting feeling, and have a cold beer and clam, and watch the sunset.

Any time I get to myself, I love going for bike rides or walks or just anything outdoors.
My cabin on Shuswap Lake is my favorite place in the world, just the thaught of sitting on my dock looking at Copper Island always puts a smile on my face, I look forward to it every year and go out there every summer.

Oh, I have a good one. The first scissor cut into a fresh piece of construction paper.

I need an honest-to-goodness laugh. Not a smile, not a chuckle, a full belly laugh. I can't recall the last one of those, and I worry if I've become too jaded and cynical.

I love waking up early on a weekend morning, with my window open, and hearing that it's raining outside. Then I snuggle deeper under the covers, breathe in the fresh, rainy air, and sleep in late while listening to the rain falling outside. Ahhhh... so relaxing.

A few of mine:

-Waking up early and starting up the motorcycle. The sun starts to rise and the streets are clear. Hit the twisties on Old Banff Coach Road for a nice quick warm up and then blast off down the highway towards the mountains. No destination in particular - just riding. Rain or shine, it doesn't matter. I actually somewhat enjoy seeing storm clouds ahead. I think to myself, "this is going to be intense!"

-Dropping the top on the convertible and throwing my hockey bag and sticks in the back. There's something so sweet about summer hockey.

-Getting through airport security/customs without incident. At that point, I feel so relaxed and start thinking about the trip ahead.

Crossing the finish line after a race. I just completed my first run, and that feeling was simply amazing.
