What money I had in RRSPs, I now only have half of, after I put a bunch in last summer. I should have just lit half the money on fire, could have gotten something out it.

Personally I took a huge hit on some stocks and my RRSPs - it sucks to see a lot of years of saving wiped out, though I realize that's not entirely the case....assuming thigns come back. My house also has declined in value.

But what ticks me off is seeing my parents worry about their retirement funds. Both my parents are semi-retired but were good savers that spent decades socking away enough in conservative investments. Suddenly the value of all that is down huge and my dad is talking about getting a job. Sucks. I have time to recover -he's supposed to be enjoying these years not worrying about money.

It's people like that - that I feel really bad for.

I lost a huge part of my RRSP's due to the market crash. I thought i had all the bases covered with a well diversified portfolio. What i didin't see coming was a global crisis that we are in now. It hurts big time too see all the money i've lost.

I'm feeling pretty lucky to still be a student right now. I haven't really lost any money (probably don't have much to lose anyways) and I've managed to hold on to my job (Land Consultant).

Yeah, the soon to be retired parents are the ones in trouble. Our generation has time to recover.

That's one of the problems.... Literally every guy that's in the industry that I've encountered thus far is gay, including my teacher. There is nothing more fun than getting hit on by a guy, when you're not gay. Definitely have to learn quickly to be very diplomatic in extreme situations.

One of my classmates sent out resumes and made phone calls to literally every design firm, trade, builder and any other semi related industry and there is not one opening anywhere. I guess I'll be starting my own business off the bat instead of getting hands on experience.

I just hope that this fun recession we're in picks up soon for everyone. My parents for example have lost well over a million bucks in this recession, so it hasn't exactly been a fun time for them either.

Some people that I worked with, that I really didn't like and that made my job harder, got laid off.

I refinanced my house for a lower rate.

I now get one week off a month, where I make 80% of my usual weekly wage.

Stuff that I wanted to buy before is now being marked down, and I have all kinds of disposable income to spend on it.

It's rough being me.

I thought I'd throw this in for troutman's sake... Hope he sees it.

Bottom Line - Big Audio Dynamite

Theres a new dance that`s going around
When the hits start flying you gotta get down
All the young people dance round the square
That old time groove is really nowhere

When you reach the bottom line
The only thing to do is climb
Pick yourself up of the floor
Don`t know what you`re waiting for

A dance to the tune of economic decline
Is when you do the bottom line
Nagging questions always remain
Why did it happen and who was to blame?

When you reach the bottom line
The only thing to do is climb
Pick yourself up of the floor
Don`t know what you`re waiting for

They`ve been doing it down at the zoo
And I can show ya heres what to do
All of the States and over UK
Even the Soviets are swinging away

When you reach the bottom line
The only thing to do is climb
Pick yourself up of the floor
Don`t know what you`re waiting for

The road aheads` clear as a motorway
Give us this day our daily bread and send us on our way
Perchance to dream or take a holiday
Romeo oh Romeo
You gotta have your say

So when you reach the bottom line
The only thing to do is climb
Pick yourself up off the floor
Anything you want is yours

When you reach the bottom line
The only thing to do is climb
Pick yourself up of the floor
Don`t know what you`re waiting for

So when you reach the bottom line
The only thing to do is climb
Pick yourself up off the floor
Anything you want is yours

Part two - Part two
I`m gonna take you to part two part two
