Just cause it is funny...
San Jose's Colin Doyle led the league in scoring with 111 points this season.
He had one assist tonight.
Matt King, our goalie, had a goal and two assists.
Suck it, Doyle!

yep I'll be there. i was there in 04 to watch them win it all against Buffalo. It was loud in there. That was in the middle of the Flames run, so i think people were jacked for that. Hopefully we can get that same kind of atmosphere tonight and help the boys.

The Fan is also covering it (in fact that's the play by play you'll hear on fan960.com) with a 90 minute pre-game show at 6 pm.
We will also be doing a live edition of roughnecksradio.com after the game with interviews with the players.
http://www.ustream.tv/roughnecksradio - link to the live show.

Just found out that we are going tonight. Section 118 Row 2. We have NEVER been to a lacrosse game. I am quite excited and have no idea what to expect. (My mother played lacrosse at her boarding school in England back in the 1940's - somehow I think tonight's game isn't going to be as genteel or polite!).

And that is why this game wont sell out. The Roughnecks way overpriced themselves for this game.
In 2004, every seat outside the club was $25. This year, the upper ends of the 200's are $35, and the price rises, obviously, as you get closer to the floor.

Roughneck tickets have always been too expensive. That's why they average 10,000 a game. The team is not "professional" enough to be charing $40+.

I had looked into getting tickets for tonight and was quite shocked at the ticket prices. No wonder they can't sell the place out. In the end i decided to stay home and spend that money on the golf course this weekend.

i agree they are too expensive and that is why they wont sell out. people don't want to shell out 40 bucks to sit way at the top of the 200s to see a sport they normally dont follow. i had trouble justifying paying that much to sit that high. compare it to the Stamps, 40 bucks at a stamps game gets you great seats. i went to the hitmen game at $15 a ticket, and that was the finals too. oh well, not often you get to host it i guess

Well.it was a great experience my first Lacrosse game. Looked pretty full and the noise was unbelievable. Had to cope with my husband beating time on my head with his thunder sticks and he only stopped when a very nice gentleman stepped in as white knight and started beating him back! Thank you, kind sir. I was wowed by the speed and the physicality. Yes, I really enjoyed it and look forward to going to some more. It was nice being down in the Avison Young club - but I do fear I am getting spoilt for Flames tickets there next season. Go Necks Go - huge congratulations to the team.

Well, 10,000 is still top half of the league in attendance. Calgary's usually been 4th-5th overall.

First time I've ever attended a championship game in any sport. And it was a win to boot. Much closer game than the one against San Jose for sure. Awesome that they pulled it off though. That was an absolute riot.

Congratulations to the Roughnecks! I wanted to go to the game last night but had previous engagements. Glad they won! I was there when they won in 04 and it was awesome
