OK what kind of bugs are these??

Orb weavers creep me out, even though the rational part of my brain knows they're harmless (to humans). I don't remember seeing them here as a kid, but we've sure had a lot in our yard the past couple of years - and they're pretty stubborn about rebuilding their inconveniently-located webs after you remove them (I removed one web about 4 times while painting my deck).

Since we're talking bugs here...

A couple of weeks ago the receiving dept at work, opened a box from Oklahoma and inside was a scorpion. It was only about 1.5" long and it was dead.

Didn't realize that Oklahoma had scorpions.

Those things are creepy. I usually use a sledgehammer to kill them!
