Is it possible this is also a case of mistaken identity. Someone did something stupid/offensive, someone complained and the wrong folks got kicked out?

A frame job perhaps.
FacePaint wears face paint to every game. There's no mistaking him...
I'm quite curious with how this will shake down from the Flames perspective.
Surely in today's marketplace and given recent market events, there would be the tendency to lean in favour of long term season ticket holders.
I'm quite surprised.
Are you sure no one did something stupid?
I guess it depends what you mean by stupid. I make horrible jokes all the time like when it's an obvious icing I yell, "Where's the icing call?" right before the guy touches the puck. Inevitably someone who doesn't go to the game often yells, "Right there" and all the regulars in the section have a good laugh.
Like I said, we didn't spill beer on anyone, pick any fights, no one asked us to keep it down... I didn't even notice so much as a dirty look! I was even sitting beside 2 Vancouver fans and an Oilers fan and being civil, joking with them. I think they were as shocked as anyone when we were gone.

what about flatulence? you don't have to be noisy to be offensive.

......and don't foget the "how much time is left in the period!!!"
Fairly often I am sitting in the library that is 219 and I am always jealous of the noise coming from you guys and your section.
I use[d] to be an usher and I am surprised you got ejected. If someone complained about cheering and you weren't swearing or being obnoxiously drunk then I would say that their complaint doesn't have a case. And usually a warning is the first step.
People are allowed to cheer. If cheering bothers you, stay home and watch the game on TV. Cheering is part of the atmosphere of live sport.
I'm honestly surprised at how that was handled. Someone really should have talked to you before you were ejected, and at minimum told you WHY you were being ejected. At least that's how I would have handled it.
But sometimes you end up sitting next to CP after a loss.. And that's the worst thing to try and deal with.

Mike Richards just read an email who claims someone got the boot from the game last night for "cheering" and it sounds an awful lot like what some have said here. Is this another incident or someone "making it up" from information gathered here?

I just heard that too. I think it was the guy known as "Spreadsheet" from the FAN 960 that was at the game last night and told pretty much the same story. Anyone else catch that? Was that Facepaint again?

Said he'll try and have a Flames representative on tomorrow (thurs). Unless he got one one in the final hour of today's program.
I'd like to see what KK or Roly Cyr (that is his name right?) would have to say about this.

Wouldn't be the first time.
At a Flames/Canucks game in Vancouver there were 2 Canuck fans beside us who were drinking in the non-alcoholic section and we were the two that got kicked out.
The weird part was they actually kicked out the kid who was on the other side of us, he was just quietly sitting there with his mom. We found that out because she followed our "crowd" being kicked out when they took her 14 year old son out another exit. It was quite painful to watch this lady lose her son in Vancouver (they were from a small town on the island) and no one would help her working there.
They claimed there were empty beer cups under our seats (I don't even drink beer) and we were cheering to loud not to be drunk. I am thinking someone complained we were cheering too loud and then they just used the drinking as an excuse to get us out. Pretty pathetic, but not the first time the Canucks org. has picked on Flame fans for no reason. I bet it happens at every arena though.
