I can't see my pic of a half blown over barn from the 30's holding its own here.. I'm feeling fairly uncultured at the moment..

I can't believe Buenes Aries wasted money on such extravagant foot bridges. Do they not have any respect for their taxpayers!? OUTRAGEOUS!

I don't have a whole lot of architecture pics, but want to participate anyway, so here is some more local colour.
This was taken from a park in Ranchlands

That's from Hawkwood Hill. The home that I grew up in is in the crescent just below that hill. I have spent so many hours of my life up there looking at the view and thinking about the world. I visit it every time I go back to Calgary.
Edit: Furthermore, my friends and I used to play in both of those houses while they were still under construction. We used to sneak into the sites at mess around inside the buildings.

Here is a shot of one of one of the main gates to the old city wall of Xi'an, with people dancing outside at night.

Yeah Hawkwood! I could't remember that for the life of me. Found that spot by accident when I was walking around trying to find the 7-11 post office up there. Pretty nice views in that neighbourhood. Definitely heading back when I get a nice camera.
This thread is giving me a travel itch. Beautiful shots guys.

Citta di Roma
edit to add that this shot is taken from the observation balcony at the top of St. Peter's Basilica. Immediately in front is St. Peter's Square. The round building at the end of the street, to the left, is Castel Sant Angelo, shich was built as a fortress for Hadrian, I think, but taken over by the vatican as a place to hole up the pope during times of invasion. There are secret passages from Vatican City to the castle.
Immediately behind the castle is the justice building in my next pic.
If you look at the further bridge, and follow a straight path to the right, you can see the dome of Pantheon.
Kind of keep going in the same direction, but slightly upward and you can see Vittoriano. The monument in my last pic.
