BTW After last night, I'd say the Puckers HAVE to get in on some tournament. Maybe Vegas? ALthough, with our team, I don't know if we'd all make it back alive.

I think I'd go for a tourney, but leave the drinking until after the games

Vegas would be 96 hours of drunkenness.

I just mean the sliding part, not the scoring part.

Although, I'm sure Jayems will pot his first goal pretty quick. He can find the net, he just needs to learn to find the net in games where the lights don't go out, or we get sent home.

I usually feel bad so I pass the puck too often. I don't want to have the scoring lead get out of hand 6 games into the season. Need to give you guys a head start.

Awsome

I remember a couple years ago, having our whole team go out for drinks and getting hammered before a game - on a Sunday afternoon - but we've never had a game canceled because of it.

The lining up behind the other teams defenseman, who was that? That hilarious.

Neither #6 (the goal scorer/guy who couldn't line up properly), nor #77 (the guy who got a match on an official penalty) are CP'ers unfortunitly.

Haha, what a funny thread, it was all laughs and praise (for the most part) and then randomly after the thread sits for a whole day, the old guys all come out at the same time and frown upon our drunken debauchery, lol.

..and to answer the question, we're mostly an early to mid twenties team. But seriously guys, it was one night, not everyone is an upstanding, perfect citizen 100% of the time.

Meh, I don't think you could post that here and not expect one of the 5,000+ posters to not find it fun. Likewise, you're bound to find people who think this would be a good time. Either way, the only apology necessary was already made to the other team.

Ya, I don't mean to sound like a jerk, just asking.

I'm only 29 and in my younger days did some dumb things too, and I still am all about having a good time. Beers after a game are a definite must. It would just suck for the other team to have a game called (I know you already addressed this)

I hope that James goes easy on the guys that were suspended, and you guys don't miss a lot of games.

haha, I was reffering to the fact that the people who didn't like it seemed to all post in unison, and a day after the fact, while the people who liked it all posted right away.

Was there any discipline handed out or did you convince James that the match penalty was bogus?

He's still talking to the refs, apparently. And reading this thread. The stick incident was definitely bogus and we'll fight that one to the bitter end (if there is anything even brought up)
