This is off-topic: They're moving Future Shop in Lethbridge? Where are they moving to? Any idea what will be going in the old location? I'm just curious. I worked at that Future Shop when it first opened. I believe that was in 2000, so it's not that old.

Future Shop has been in that location since the early/mid 90s (though they did do some renos around 2000). They have a bigger store down in the far south end of Lethbridge now, just south of Superstore. It opened up just this week.
The old location is in Center Village Mall, which is undergoing quite a bit of change. Canadian Tire is expanding outward to the east and inward into the mall (the west). The Royal Bank has moved outside of the mall and they have their own building on the North end of the parking lot. I think Canadian Tire is expanding up to where the Royal Bank was, or somewhat close to it. As for Future Shop's old location, I'm not sure what they plan to do with it. I think I heard what was happening at some point but I don't recall what those plans were.
On another side note, I worked at Canadian Tire the same time you worked at Future Shop and helped the security guard chase down and apprehend a couple of shoplifters right outside the Future Shop doors, sometime around 2000/2001. It attracted quite a crowd.

People have to realize that it's not Infinity Ward Developing the game. Infinity Ward is the developer that started COD and makes the good games.
COD 5 like COD 3 is farmed out to Treyarch because Activsion wants to make more money and while Infinity Ward is working on their projects, Treyarch gets to make crappy filler games under the same banner.
It sucks. Treyarch makes pretty bad games. The Quantum of Solace game is by them also. It also sucks. Multiplayer should be the only real reason to get COD5 because it's actually not bad with you being able to play cooperatively.
Even if the outcome of the story is known in WWII games, Infinity Ward still made COD 1 and 2 (and expansions) very engrossing because you cared about the characters you met and the character that you yourself played. They also put you in novel situations that let you experience things like running frantically between turrets in a bomber over Europe at 10,000 feet trying to protect it against the Luftwaffe, etc. It's all about innovation and immersion into places and things that are cool. I've love a COD level onboard a WWII battleship in the middle of vast sea battle while you are just trying to survive. It's that vicariousnous that made COD4 great and COD5 lacks. Generic WWII missions in a forest or jungle are overdone. They need to put you into something cinematic and dramatic.

I figured I would bump this thread to get some help.
I'm currently stuck at the part where you have to snipe that German General before he gets away. I must have died about 30 times so far and it's pissing me off. Is there some secret here to doing it without getting sniped yourself?
Perhaps I shouldn't have played on the hardest level, but I wanted it to last a bit longer. There have been a couple times where I have been hung up for quite some time though.
Anyone else have trouble with these sniper missions?

I'm just there now so I can't help you, but I do know that the sniper missions were very hard in COD4 as well when you got to the harder difficulties.

Anyone else's campaign just not work? Mine for some reason freezes in the beginning when the explain what the situation is (when all the graphics are). Anyone know how to fix that, cause there are no scratches or anything on my disc. Should I delete any of my save data for other games or something?

That mission is literally impossible on vetran difficulty. The computer sniper cheats. Don't play it on vetran. It's like how vertran sniper level in COD4 was also quite literally impossible unless you used an exploit.

I have died probably 50 times so far. I've tried everything possible, and I still get picked off by the General's sniper down below. My brother claims to have beat it on the hardest level but I'm sure he's playing on easy.
On a side note, the x-box live team death match is SO much fun. I still get my ass handed to me by 14 year olds using scoped sub-machine guns, but I have a blast nonetheless.

Does anyone else rage at all the people that go under the map on roundhouse and castle? It frustrates me to no end. Especially when the rest of your team does it so it's just you getting your butt handed to you.
I have to say that the flamethrower is the most satisfying weapon to throw down with.

I was babysitting my two nephews this weekend and they talked me into renting this for them. It was wholly inappropriate for their ages but we had a blast playing deathmatch. It reminded me of my old Ghost Recon days on Xbox live.

You will. There are spots on the map that if you wiggle around at them eventually you go under the map. You can tell this happens when you are running along and you get shot out of nowhere. Then, when the replay comes on you see the guy looking up at your feet, blasting away. He can see you, but you can't see him. So lame. Caused me to back out of way too many games.

Wow I remember opening that store, getting promoted to assistant manager there and then moving on to Medicine Hat.
At one time that was the premier store in Western Canada in terms of sales per square feet number

Stop letting your kids play WAW, it's rated M, not that I care about your kid's exposure to violence and gore but.. seriously.. nothing is more annoying than hearing a pubic-essence voice on the mic screaming and whining. Btw, my mute function is glitched so I can't do a damn thing about it.
