Yes, it's about 1 month for Basic Military Qualification, 1 month for Soldier Qualification and 1 month for your "trade qualification" (ie: DP1/BIQ if you're infantry). This takes place during the months of July and August and each course is between 20-25 training days with some weekends off. Likely you'll be in Wainwright, AB or Shiloh, MB for some or all three of these courses.

If you choose weekend courses, it's something like 3 out of 4 weekends a month for 4 or 5 months, or something like that. I also would not recommend this, however... not a good way to end a stressful week at school or work I would think.

Yeah, the big problem is commitment to a school practicum over the summer and saving for a wedding...
