Yeah, Laval is just something else. It seems like every year they challenge for the Vanier Cup. A few years back I went to TO to watch St. Mary's play les Rouge et Or at Skydome and wanted to leave at halftime. They just dominate whomever they are playing and they are the team to beat again this year.
They also focus entirely on football. School is secondary to the football team...I've heard they actually have classes on football...whether that's true or not I'm not sure, I was told that by a couple Dino's, so take it for what it's worth.

Is CIS football similar to the CFL in terms of field dimensions, rules etc?

Damn sportsnet showing me the score of the Dinos game! I was hoping to watch during intermission. Big Congrads to the boys and lets hope they bring it home next week

Yes. Dinos play at McMahon. Same field, same hash marks, same rules at CFL..even some of the different rules such as one foot in bounds for a catch like US College football.
Well done Dinos. Ridiculous that Calgary and all the Canada West teams always have to travel across the country and play in Halifax for the semi final, I think its only been once in recent memory that they've had the semi final it out west.
I am guessing there will be about 10K tickets available for free for next week, after the Laval shocker, with Laval hosting.
