The more the merrier. The woeful Spurs tied Arsenal 4-4 which is an impressive score for them, and we have to face them on the weekend.

I'm hoping for a vulgar display of authority, but with this team we almost never get that.

Wow I did not see that happening, Liverpool had numerous chances so it shouldn't even have come down to that anyways.

Hopefully Newcastle can pull an underdog win against Aston Villa on Monday (I'll be there!)

I just got into all this stuff this year (as I just moved here for the year), I am hoping to see Liverpool when they come to Newcastle or I will actually make a trip up to Liverpool or Manchester to see either of those play.

Ha. A real mans club...

Bad game. I agree Rafa shouldn't have taken Keano off so early. i thought after Kuyt netted early, it would be smooth sailing. Tottenham never really looked too threatening. I used to like Tottenham but after watching them today, I think that it had a lot to do with Robbie being in their squad.

Shake it off. Big game aginst Madrid on Tuesday and we'll have to start capitalizing on the light schedule we have over the next two months

Liverpool:

West Brom
Fulham
Bolton
West Ham
Blackburn
Hull
Arsenal
Bolton
Newcastle
Stoke

Chelsea:
Blackburn
West Brom
Newcastle
Arsenal
Bolton
West Ham
Everton
West Brom
Fulham
MAN UTD

A good convincing win over WBA to hopefully put last week behind them.

Nice to see Keane getting into good form as well as to see Torres make an appearance.

Doesn't really matter. Who gives a **** about this cup anyway? All that matters is the PL title. Getting far in the Champions League would be a huge bonus - in terms of money and for me as a fan of international soccer.

A loss is still disappointing but it isn't too surprising that our depth doesn't match other teams and that some players on the bench aren't ready for something like this. Let's see what a rested team can do next weekend and if Torres can transform the match practice he got into goals in a game that counts.

Bad result today. SHould have had all three. Thankfully Chelsea drew and Arsenal lost. Hopefully Villa can draw or beat Man U today to keep things as is.

Torres is really starting to piss me off. He needs to play with Keane and not try to do everything himself. He doesn't pass, always trying to shoot, which is fine, I know he is a coleader in goals, but if Keane is making a great run, pass him the damn ball!!! Keane needs to be more selfish too and remember his style when he hammered goals home for the Spurs, and forget about trying to setup Torres all the time. The ball isn't coming to him when Torres has it, so give it a go and get more shots towards goal.

Torres had some huge dives today too. Ronaldo type dives. Drives me crazy,as a few cost us opportunities. Rafa can't be pleased with him. Maybe sit him out a couple games, play Keano, Gerrard and give Babel a chance. Cause he's gotta smarten up.

I don't think it would be wise to sit him... he is still trying to find his game after his injury. I agree in that he seems to be a little inpatient and tried to force things a bit to much, but there were also some good plays from him today.
And I really feel bad for Keane, he tries so hard, he always is one step away from netting one, he just hasn't got the luck a striker needs since arriving at Anfield.
But I still expect the two of them to find some chemistry soon and then they will rip apart opponents like Fulham and Stoke that they lose points against because of the inability to score at the moment.

I have to agree with this, I was not happy with Torres during that game, the Ronaldo cry-baby routine drives me insane with rage.

I hate Ronaldo and the way he acts on the field, but I thought Torres' actions, especially near the end of that game were reprehensible. Not something you usually see from Liverpool or Torres, hes usually a lot tougher and smarter than that.

A missile-throwing incident involving Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard and Marseille fans at Anfield on Wednesday evening is to be investigated by Uefa.
Gerrard was hit by an object - believed to be a cigarette lighter - as he waited to take a corner in the first half of their 1-0 Champions League win.

*sigh* Sign of the modern day climate I suppose.

The economic climate that is. Whatever happened to the days when it would be cell phones that were thrown at players?

They're French, civilized behavior would be too much to expect.

Tell me about it. I married one! Mind you she considers herself Breton first (sorta like the Welsh thing).

When I think of Marseille I think of a mini Algeria.

At least he didn't throw it back and flip them off like some un-named Ivory Coast player from a big rival based in London that holds no European cups......
I can't believe I missed this thread entirely until now. Anybody here going to On the Rocks (official LFCCalgary home) on Monday? I'll be able to make it for at least a half.

Great result for the Reds today. (The Arse beating the Chavs). What a great chance to take sole possession of 1st against the Hammers tomorrow. Come on lads.

Unless it's too busy at work, I'll be watching.
I was just perusing one of the forums and came across this. Flames fans could take note here too. 04 was magical, but the fans were more than just mere spectators too.

It's only West Ham (their sponsor went out of business for Christs sakes!!!!) but it's a must win. They all are.

I was actually hoping to for this game, but I'm swamped with schoolwork, I'm hoping to make it down after the semester is over, I'll post something either here or in the OT forum depending on the game and the time, so keep a lookout.

Sole possession of first. Win this one. Chelsea dropped points, but Man U and Arsenal didnt. We need this one to be a Win.
