Wow this is terrible, I wasnt able to make it to the draft (btw I am Bertuzzi Bruisers) and The autodraft drafts me 2 awful goaltenders, I'm gonna loose every week because of this minimum starts bull crap.

Did you prerank your goalies? Did you rank them high?

I had six goalies ranked in my top 11 in case I wouldn't be able to log on and had to autodraft.

Luckily I did get up at 6am for the draft and picked a goalie with my first pick that would have been autodrafted according to my prerankings anyway.

Happened to people last year. There simply aren't enough starts to go around (and they're not evenly distributed enough) for every team to make the 4 game minimum. I think it's a bit silly because it make it too easy to balance your goalies with your scorers (you need the goalies, end of story).

Another great year boys (and girls?). I can't believe I rallied from 4th to pull off the repeat. Luck was on my side, as I didn't have the best team.

What were people's thoughts on SOG as a category this year?

Since reducing the number of teams from 18 to about 10 won't happen, can we please reduce the minimum starts from 4 to 3 next year?

Excellent work as always Pagal.

Good call on the starts. That cost me a lot this year.

Considering what i started with I am actually happy with 8th. I mean I was given two AHL guys for goalies.

You had the best 10 round draft of any team in the league this season. The problem was the computer lost its mind after that and drafted you a bunch of nobodies. Ha ha.

I'm happy with my rally to 3rd place this year and I look forward to next season.

Well... what a disappointment. I always seem to finish 2nd in Yahoo hockey pools and thought I might get at least that again this year after going wire-to-wire in 1st place in the regular season. I always tend to make an idiotic drop early on, and this year I let go of Milan Lucic way too early and he was strong for Tilley.

I had a chance of playing for 1st or 2nd but Lundqvist got a strong shutout one day too late and Frequitude relegated me.

Then in the 3rd place sweepstakes, I was up 9-0 three days before the end of the week and lost 5-4 in the end. The difference? I foolishly dropped Keith Tkachuk (thinking the final was one week rather than two weeks) and Junky picked him up to defeat me. Tkachuk would have put me ahead of Junky in G, PPP and GWG but instead it was the other way around and that was the difference. I have no one but myself to blame.

Congrats to Freq, Tilley and Junky... two of whom beating me when it really counts, and the other for nipping at my heels throughout the regular season.

I just looked at our consolation final... stupidly close:

A 35-33
PPP 17-16
SHP 1-0
GWG 2-1
SOG 186-185 (WOW)

Good game.

When I drafted Leclaire, I was strongly considering picking up his backup as well (which worked wonders with Giguerre/Hiller). Mason would've been huge.

Did better in the playoffs when I was paying more attention to using all my starts.

I agree with Frequitude (since he agreed with me ), 3 goalie starts is better.
