they built a nest in my barbeque one year. That was disposed of quite quickly.

Seriously. How can you have any sympathy for something that looks like it was spawned in the gates of hell? Flying around with their legs hangin out, looking around for somewhere to land and call all their "pals" to build a nest out of wasp spitoons, while devising plans to take over the neighbourhood.

Get a giant bee suit and be sure to properly welcome them as your new wasp overlords...

Hahaha, well, we're betting that when they find the opening in the morning, they'll be out of there. And there are much worse things in that ravine than wasps.

You can buy a yellow jacket wasp trap at canadian tire, Home depot, or a local pest control shop. Put fish, meat or beer in the trap to capture and reduce the population working for the nest. In turn, the nest should die off due to stress. If you are doing this later in the summer use sugars such as pop, wasps gravitate away from proteins and prefer sugars in mid to late summer.

Ha! I knew someone would bring that up. I used one of those bio-degradable ones we use for composting.
Edit: At least I hope that's how they work.

Yeah, probably all the other junk that you and your 'yellow jacket apologist' father dumped there. I bet it used to be a pretty swell ravine until you two savages got your meat hooks on it.
