That was EPIC. First time mens tennis has been entertaining in a long time.

Still in awe of what I just saw....it rivals up there with the Agassi/Blake US Open match of the greatest I have ever watched. Kudos to both men. And congrats to Nadal. It was well deserved.

I'm pretty sure that the previous two Nadal/Federer Wimbledon finals were as entertaining. I remember last year's final was the first time Federer went 5 sets. And you can't forget the Nadal/Federer French Open final...Nadal dominating that one was pretty damn entertaining to watch.

That was crazy good. So glad Nadal won, there's something about Federer that makes me unable to cheer for him.

That was one of my favorites for sure. That was in the semis. Agassi was down 2 sets to 0 (I think after losing the first two sets 3-6, 3-6 or something) and came back to win the next 2(I remember it was the same score so like 6-3, 6-3) and then the 5th set was a long one that Agassi won.

So who do you guys/gals think wins the career slam first?

Federer, Nadal or neither ever wins it?

Thats tough. At this point Nadal might be the favorite because he has beaten Federer on grass which is Federers strongest. Although Fed only needs the French, I believe, but Fed has to beat Nadal on his best surface.

Yeah Federer needs the French and Nadal needs the US Open and Australian Open. It's a tough task to complete for any player.

Only 5 players (in any era) on the mens side have won the career Slam:

Roy Emerson (12 grand slam titles)
Rod Laver (11 grand slam titles)
Fred Perry (8 grand slam titles)
Andre Agassi (8 grand slam titles)
Don Budge (6 grand slam titles)

I think Nadal is the favorite to do it next just because he is so dominant on clay so it will be hard for him to lose a French.

Neither wins it. Federer will definitely never win the French.

Nadal may win the Australian but I don't think he will ever win the US Open unless he cuts down on his clay court schedule. Hardcourts are just too hard on his body and it's extremely hot and humid in NY in the summer. And the court is too fast so he can't play those defensive shots that he is famous for.

So if Nadal does become the top rated Men's Tennis player, I guess Moon will have to come up with an excuse for why he hates Nadal?

Which one did Sampras not win?

Wow what an awesome match. I was so nervous watching it. Federer is my favorite athlete in any sport. I sure hope someone knocks Nadal out of the French early next year!

Sampras never won the French (never even made it to a French Open final).

Don't care how many he won overall it is a major blow to his claim to be the best ever.

That goes for Federer or Sampras actually.

I'm trying to find a HD quality download of that match, I want to watch it over and over.

Talk about the BEST Tennis match I've ever seen.

Who wins the first career grand slam? I'd love it if it was Federer, but I think it's going to be Nadal. Yeah, Nadal has beaten Rog on grass, but Fed has actually beaten Raf on clay. Just not at the French Open. Rog has done it before, and he can do it again. Who knows, next year Rog can make the French final again, and maybe Raf gets upset and doesnt' make the final.

PS: Fantastic match today. This rivals the Samprass/Agassi match at the US Open. I don't think it was in the finals, and it didn't even go five sets. It went four and all four sets went to a tie break.

I like Nadal. Hope he becomes the most dominant player ever.

No excuses needed here!

Good news for Canadian tennis! Frank Dancevic has advanced the semi-finals of the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.

tough to beat Rod Laver as the best ever. He'd have more slams but was ineligible for several years if I recall correctly. Don't quite know why though.

got to love mcenroe as a commentator eh? I really enjoy his coverage.

Professionals weren't allowed to play in grand slams.
