Come on now, it's Patrick, did you really expect a post with any substance?

Anyway, back to the topic. I don't really get why they had to make Prime have a mouth either. Plus it seems like they tried a little too hard to get every piece of the car transformed into the robot. Like stuff under the hood and crap. To me it would have been easier for them to keep the transformers bulky from a CGI standpoint and for the look of the robots too. The car/truck/whatever is just supposed to be a disguise, don't really see the need for engine parts to become visible in the final transformation.

Just seems like it would have been easier for them to look like this...

well because you know going CGI, and live action there would be people out there complaining that when they transformed, something has to happen to the engine, seats, mirrors, etc etc etc, because it cant just vanish...because if it did just vanish and was no longer distinguishable it would suspend the realism of it...because when you go to watch a movie about gigantic robots form outer space that resemble every day objects, it better be realistic dammit

Logic? Who the hell needs logic in a movie about giant battling robots? In the cartoon, they needed bigger and badder robots to battle the already existing large battling robots. Dinosaurs seemed like the obvious choice as a child for battling robots, so why not now?? I can't stop talking about giant battling robots!

HAHAHA, true enough. I guess the robots can create realistic looking holograms of human drivers but when it comes to seat covers and cup holders they're at a complete loss.

The holograms of human drivers they had in the movie. The decepticons had them, can't recall if the autobots did or not (obviously bumblebee didn't). But the cop car had a guy sitting in the front seat when frenzy hopped in after jumping off air force one and the helicopter had that one that was glitching before he transformed and destroyed the air base.

Hahaha, my bad. I just mean that in the cartoon version it was almost like the car was a shell, where in the movie version the car had to have every internal piece of the car transform to part of the robot. But human bodies in the drivers seat were holograms so why couldn't the other crap inside just be a hologram as well.

Do you mean easy as in doing the cgi or having him in the plot of the movie?

When the Autobots and Decepticons are not in robot mode they have to blend in to our world. So how can a T-rex blend it? You can't have Grimlock go to a dinosaur museum and stand motionless as a T-rex until he gets called into action.

I would love to see Grimlock but the only way is if they copied Jurasic park and had this secret island somewhere that had living dinosaurs on it.

That's some awesome news! The autobots will have to have an equivilant. I wonder which one it will be... I always remember the Omega Supreme/Constructicon storylines, though there will likely never be a movie-form Omega. Aerialbots came out not too long after the Constructicons were introduced.

The one terrible one in the cartoon that retconned the Constructicon origins for the second of three times?

It'll likely be the Dynobots.
