Kolzig is a steal, look what Belfour did this year. It's always amazing how fast we has fans jump of a bandwagon... almost much quicker then it plays out

Olesz will add some much needed talent up front for my team. I barely pieced together a second scoring line last season. 14 goals in 56 games is pretty good goal scoring.

This dispersal draft is fun!
We're at a point where things are getting interesting Bufuglien is high risk/high reward to an extent. Maybe he could be a 35 goal power forward, he's nearly impossible to get off the puck and he's got an NHL shot for sure. But how committed is he to conditioning, he might make Dustin Penner look like Gary Roberts. Still some decent guys in Upshall and Daley as far as young guys with upside go left. Than you still have some vets after that depending on the salary you can take. It's a bit more like an NFL type draft where you can either take BPA, guy with potential, or the guy who best suits your teams needs.

I believe in the Pony Power

^don't underestimate the value though of having a guy you can swap from forward to defense whenever you need to. Just purely for roster management he's a solid addition.

Trevor Daley it is. I hate his $4mm price tag but I liked what I saw from him in the playoffs and I think he is showing a lot of promise. I needed a d-man anyways, so this choice was fairly easy.

Well the Rangers selected Scottie Upshall... The kid is still really young and is really improving. Last season he scored 14 goals...

Well, for my money, there were no players (after Doan) who'd have any kind of significant impact on a team, so I started looking at other things ... Byfuglien has a lot of potential, and that's something I need on my team - someone who has a lot of room to grow. I also like guys who are flexible with positions they can play and you don't get much more flexibility than a guy who can play both D and F, and from my understanding, play both quite well. Thought that more than made up for any experience differences between him and Upshall - who was my #2, and certainly him and Olesz, who seems to be near the top end of his ability for my money.

Torres returning to the Leafs was a natural, and McKee is a solid player for the Yotes

The Hawks had 3 or 4 guys they really targeted in the top 12 and after failing multiple times to work out a trade for one of these players, we are down to two players on our list that we would like to pick. We will stand pat and hope they fall to us.
