Yeah, I agree with most of the negative comments. I really wanted to add this to my movie collections with the rest of the series, but, I don't think it would be worth to spend more money on it.

I really liked the classic elements it had to it, but, was turned off by the super cheesy moments of waterfalls, standing on two jeeps, swinging through the jungle, aliens, space crafts, and flying through the air in a fridge.

I'm really surprised that this movie isn't being ripped into more. Maybe Metacritic is being paid off???

All Im saying is if you (not you specifically but just the general "you") expect every movie to be Best Picture worthy you are going to be sorely disappointed by about 95% of films. The others werent all that believable either. Sometimes you just have to look past things that movies allow to happen just for the sake of keeping the story moving. Yes if something was that magnetized it would be near to impossible to take anywhere.

I didnt by any means love this movie. I though it was ok. I kinda liked the alien stuff. But I do think they took it wayyyy to far by the end. I just thought it was pretty good entertainment and gave me something to do last night. Not bad but not good

WOW, tough crowd, it was a fun movie for me, and my 8 year old son can't stop talking about it. I'll give it a 8/10 just off the must see category.

Too much CG. Too much "cutesy" stuff with the groundhogs. Too much green screen. Blame Lucas for all that.

Aliens is too far of a departure from history for Indiana Jones. Blame Spielberg for that.

Lebouf is an insertion as a "replacement" character - much like Jinx from Bond. I don't want to see a Mutt movie. I want to see an Indiana Jones movie.

I have no idea who that old woman was that apparently was Indiana's ex girlfriend. Was she from the first movie? Lame.

I liked the part with the snake. That was good. I like the bit in the fridge too.

How come Indiana knew how to break into the temple at the end, but that old guy couldn't figure it out earlier? Who were those dudes jumping out in the caverns too?

Why did the steps retract? How come old man Indiana, and his old girlfriend and old professor made it down the steps but the Spaniards didn't? How did the Russians get down once the steps had retracted?

Why did the alien say he was giving a "gift", then light the Russian chick on fire? Was he being sarcastic?

I do try and accept that about the movie, but, there is a line for me for what is "Ficton" in the movie (e.g. Aliens, crazy ants, ...), which I can accept (and enjoy), but then there is real life stupid things I can't (e.g. tarzan through the jungle, surviving the waterfalls, standing on two jeeps and getting repeatly slammed in the nuts, and the WORST ... driving a car onto a tree to gently put it into the river). Now it is those things that ruined the movie for me.

Nah, Nic Cage is solid. granted he has been in some absolute crap over the last few years like

But has also been stellar in some great flicks like

Adaptation....he was brilliant in this

I enjoyed this movie. I wanted to be entertained and I was. I had quite a few chuckles.

The end was a little too much for me but other than that I really enjoyed the movie.

Re: The waterfalls. I seem to recall a certain someone surviving a fall out of a plane in the mountains, then falling over what appeared to be angel falls and somehow ending up in India all on a yellow life raft...

Parts I really enjoyed was the look on Indys face when he was getting scrubbed down after the blast :P

I thought the greaser fight was funny as well. I thought Shae Lebouef (sp?) did quite well and there was great on screen chemistry between the 3 of them. I was quite surprised to see Marion, I thought that was a great touch.

No kidding. Seems many have conveniently forgot how unbelievable past stunts/sequences in the series have been.

It's a different universe. Indiana Jones does not take place in this universe. It exists on its own plane somewhere.

It was entertaining. That's all an Indy film is supposed to be.

I like Nic Cage and all but the National treasure movies were just awful. I just scratched my head why so many good actors like Nic Cage Helen Mirren would be in such a movie.

I dunno being as geeky as I am I enjoyed that they brought Marion back. Then again I also enjoyed finding out what else was in storage at the start of the movie there. Confirmed what I suspected from the trailer. I think the reason that the movie was enjoyable was because it was Indy, and the fun nuances that go with it. That being said I honestly feel that if this movie was "Rick O'Connell and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" the movie might not be getting the same defense it is, and I doubt I would have liked it as much as I did, of course I said like, not love.

Watching it once was alright just because of the production value but there is no way i could watch that twice, and i laughed at the sheer brutal implausibility of a number of parts of the film!

I honestly don't know what some of you were expecting. Plausible action? Yeah, right. Not in an Indiana Jones movie. That's like expecting James Bond to be a realistic take on the spy game. Yeah, it's implausible. Hello? Raiders was hardly the height of plausibilty now was it? These movies are a homage to the old Saturday matinee serials and they do a terrific job. This one was no different. I liked the references to the old movies, I liked that Karen Black made an appearance, surprisingly I didn't even mind the Mutt character, and I enjoyed the chases and death defying acts. But they're implausible you say? Nah, really. So what? It's comic book, boy's own stuff, and it works incredibly well on that level. Have any of you even seen the previous movies in the series?

I was entertained, my son was entertained, it's not going to change my life but, again, I was entertained and that's what it should be all about. Those of you going in expecting deep meaningful dialogue and serious drama obviously wandered into the wrong movie.

it's an indy movie, it's not supposed to be realistic or plausible. indy movies have always been implausible and far from reality. that said, I was really entertained by the movie. if you watch the movie expecting it to be a spitting image of reality you'll be in for a shock, but if you're watching it for entertainment you will be entertained.

It was nice to see that Harrison Ford still had that old Indy swagger. I'm not a fan of Shia LeBeouf but I think he did a decent job. I really hope that the franchise doesn't get handed down to him I think it would probably be the last Indy movie for me if they did that.

Now that I'm a bit older than when I watched the first 3 I realized that indy (at least for me) was the first nerdy but cool character I've seen in movies.

I enjoyed it - better than Temple of Doom, not as good as Last Crusade. My biggest complaints were that the CGI were sometimes a little too in your face and obvious. The best part of the original Indy series were that they were throw back to early action and adventure movies. This one could have used more 'real' stunts.

I think that if I was 12 years old, I would think that this was a fantastic movie - kind of like Phantom Menace was for the Star Wars crowd - if you grew up with Indy in his Ark days, then your expectation may not be met.

But if you were going for a popcorn flick it does not disapoint.
